you don't flog promising 17-19 year olds..they don't make any meaningful money..

you loan them out or promote to fist team squad and see how they develop..

Wheatley just gone to N'hampton recently on loan...Obi has already been promoted to fist team squad during last season..

There's a lot of reflected glory being a United player.

These kids need a kick up the arse. Sell them with buy back clauses. Let them fight for places at Crewe or Wrexham. If they are any good they'll be back otherwise bye bye.

I was told that at any time there were only a handful of players in the academy capable of progression. The rest are there to make up the numbers

Certainly most won't and Utd again released plenty this summer from academy and u23's that were out of contract and deemed to have little future..there's virtually no sale value for most that haven't played any league football...the loans are designed to both evaluate potential but also make them sellable..

But Leipzig want a sell-on clause added to the deal before they consider accepting an offer for Sesko. (Telegraph -

Manchester United remain in talks to sign Sesko, who is yet to decide between a move to Manchester United or Newcastle.

He was an excellent pundit at cwc.

I think the young strikers at West ham will
benefit from him being at club too.

Chelsea have completed a £37m deal to sign Ajax defender Jorrel Hato.

The 19-year-old has finalised a seven-year contract with the Blues after a medical in London over the weekend.

The Netherlands international has become the eighth signing of the summer transfer window for the Fifa Club World Cup champions.

"I'm very excited, I'm so happy to be here," said Hato.

"I thought a lot about my future and wanted to take the next step in my career. Chelsea is the best place for me to do that so I'm very happy."

Hato emerged from Ajax's famed academy, making his debut in the first team aged 16.

Adept at left-back or centre-back, he captained the Dutch club at 17 and went on to make 111 appearances.

Hato made his international debut for the Netherlands in 2023 against Gibraltar and has six caps.

If Garnacho signs for Chelsea, his brother is going to need to hire a team of assistants to help him leak the team news on social media.

Manchester United have made a bid worth just under £74m (€85m) to RB Leipzig for striker Benjamin Sesko.

The fee is an initial £65m plus around £8.9m (€75m + €10m) in performance related add-ons.

Newcastle's second bid was higher - an initial offer of just under £70m (€80m) plus add-ons.

Sesko has been open to both projects - but one source has told Sky Sports News he is leaning towards Manchester United.

has Jim found some more coins down the back of the sofa ?

that would surely push them over PSR without sales in this window..

Only really got one proper no.9 to be fair dragon (Cunha, Mbuemo, Zirkzee none of whom a natural focal point out and out striker) and suspect they have to move Hojlund on if they get this over the line..

bit of a gamble at the price for either team but a scarcity of genuine 9's in the game these days pumps up price..Arsenal had a serious look earlier in the window but felt personal demands and price tag excessive..

he's a very talented lad and has plenty of improvement possibility but even so..

I think the guess is they play as the two 10's behind a striker in a 3-4-2-1 ...certainly either could play as a 9 if required but probably neither's best position.
By:
The Dragon

pretty good striking line up if thats the case if they gel.
By:
duffy
When: 05 Aug 25 15:40
He looks exciting but is still a gamble, they're obviously not worried about signing another youngster that ends up needing time, personally would have gone after Watkins but the potential upside if Sesko works is very appealing and exciting!!!
By:
duffy
When: 05 Aug 25 15:50
Cunha and Mbuemo could both be used as false 9's in the same line up and that is what it looked to be in the first half against Everton the other night.

Tyler Morton has completed his move to Lyon as Liverpool edged near the £150million mark for sales this summer.

The Reds have agreed a deal worth a total of £15m for Morton with the French side, who made the 22-year-old one of their chief targets this summer.

There's a player in there, but some errors in
