Roll on next weekend, this International break has cheesed me off even more than normal, must be a gauge as to the enjoyment the Fantasy football brings.

Who finds themselves getting more excited when one of your players gets some decent points rather than when you win a bet and real money, I wouldn't say I do to be honest but there isn't much in itLaugh

I get that!

I often turn to chess.com, they pit me against someone equally average and can be just as exhilarating as getting a nice winner... Cool

Will cross the 500pt barrier this weekend, Haaland yet again the only captain's choice this week, some daft people out there have been choosing defenders as captains. Kind Regards.

Emit, I started playing on Chess By Post during lockdown. If you fancy downloading that I will give you a game. I’m very poor at it.

If I have a good week I too will pass 500 this week.

2 bad weeks and I might not get there, lol.

Captain, Haaland bar injury, but at some point risks must be taken.

yeah there will be a time to look at other captains, no to chase but he's not going to be the best pick for the rest of the season. City have Liverpool away game week 11, Chelsea have Wolves at home, West Ham have Burnley, Everton have Fulham, good argument to make Pedro/Palmer, Bowen and Grealish captain that week.

bullet chess is good, no cheaters there, just won with the Orthoschnapp

actually, they have Liverpool at home, still would fancy the other players a Liverpool should have got their act together by then.

What’s that, Mes, a game with a minute clock each? I like a fast game but a minute is a bit too short. That game you posted was basically a free for all. Make a move quickly, never mind the mistakes and hope your opponent runs out of time.

Haaland only got 1 goal v Liverpool in epl in 4 games, (3 away games blanked)

1 in 2 champs league (blanked at home)
1 in 1 league cup
0 in 1 charity shield.

1 win 5 losses.

Download Chess By Post then. Invite ‘kenbo29’ to a game.

Kenbo I was ahead after every single move, bullet chess is just a much faster version of blitz, blitz a faster version of rapid, you can't win just by having the fastest finger though, you do have to know how to play. Never heard of chess by post, cba downloading it. I used to play on chess.com but I grew sick and tired of all the cheaters, being refunded points all the time but there were loads of people getting away with it so just play as a guest instead. Their forums ban you from even talking about cheats, mods swarm all over it and removed threads and posts, they're a multi million dollar company so don't want the image of being awash with computer cheats. Kind Regards.

It wasn't a free for all either, it was the Orthoschapp gambit, at least my version of it, youtube it, it's planned attack against the French defence.

That Haaland record makes me even more sure of backing someone else that week.

Kind Regards.

To say I play chess is stretching a point.  I know how pieces move and generally how to play.  That’s it.  Have played against a computer online but with little or no success.  Strategic planning eludes me.  Anyone want an easy win?  Grin

Chess Masters The Edgame hosted by Sue Perkins is available on the BBC, a bunch of Chess whizzes take on puzzles and each other. At one point they wheeled in this 9 year old girl who is a master who took 4 of them on all at the same time and smashed them all, she just wandered from one table to the next until she had them all beat.

On Chess.. My game is entirely based on blunders.. Avoiding mine and relying on others.  Cant be arsed trying to learn openings or theory.

https://www.chess.com   My rating is a mediocre 1072 (I'm not kidding myself) but It's a good way to keep the grey matter stimulated... Apparently 3500 games in 5 years Blush

I play the 10 minute rapid only, anyone wants to, I'm Crips99....

Saw it Duffy.  Amazing.  Quite entertaining at times too.
A friend told me that when you download some of these games you end up inundated with unwanted adverts.  True?

3 in this week.  Squad has 3, 3, and 3 from Arsenal, Citeh and Chelsea with 2 from Newcastle., including the big German up front who debuts for me in a 3 4 3.  Have decided to ditch Watkins and keep Tonali in deference to Gordon.  Why, I can only say that he seems to be playing consistently and might figure in an assist and bonus scenario.  Watkins just isn’t getting into goal scoring areas often enough. Sticking with Haaland as captain because he is in chit hot form and there seems no reason not to stick with him.  Finally, stupidly, I’ve stuck myself with two goalies who are home same week, then away same week.  Pickford dropped because I can see him picking a few of Haaland’s out of the back of the net this week.  Kelleher might do it fewer times against the Hammers.
Nobody said it would be easy!  Grin
70+ points highly desirable and a climb up from 23rd place!  Cool
G/L all.  Hope you have no red cards, no penalty misses and no non selections!

Bring in Guardiol and Pep doesn’t select, the, he makes his subs on 59 minutes.  He’s becoming a major p.i.t.a.

That's all well and good but is there a shred of evidence to prove the charlatan is telling the truth?

Not being bitter but he has a rap sheet as long as your arm of exaggerating and after-timing... just saying Plain
