But will who ever comes on for Kane defend as well as he does? I know he shouldn't need to defend but at Spurs he was always the last man saving a goal and he was again tonight.

spain have had 69.2% possession against the 30.8% for england....

Think the World Cup in 2 years in America has 8 rounds, can't have Gareth in charge being pragmatic for that long, he should step down after tonight but on 5 mil a year, he's not going to.

I think we have done ok. Brought them down to our level. We got potential on the right. Keep it tight and wait for our footballers to get in the pitch hopefully before 80 minutes! Will he take Kane off? Doubt it till very late.

England improved in the last 15 minutes or so. Longer it stays goalless, the more chance they have of nicking it.

Spain are looking a bit toothless apart from a bit of a concern down the Spanish left, if England beat the initial press when they win it Spain look vulnerable in defense.
England just need a bit more possession, however that may also suit Spain who look like they may need the space a counter gives you to breach England. |

Would love a goal . Been a cagey affair. Was in a way expecting that and not surprised. Referee hasnt blown for too many fouls (8 all up until HT).

24 is bad enough, lucky losers going through lord no,s what format they,ll come up with, remember 82 in spain 2nd round was some sort of 3 team round robin group stage,we had spain and germany

aye des, you just know England are going go against the run of possession, it has got that feel about it, 0-2 would be epic

Alex Scott wants Kane off!
|
|
By:
Might be good if Spain score, only way England will open up and start doing what we're best at, lumping balls over the top
|
|
By:
Kane has been booked, has been s*** all tournament, Watkins would be far better on the pitch, it's a good call
|
|
By:
who the feck is alex scott, who did he ever play for ?
|
|
By:
kane is carrying a big injury

|
By:
England will play ugly if it happens to snag them the Trophy. Not a great spectacle if you were watching as a neutral.

Where is Scotland? Where is Ireland? Where is Wales?

yes it's in his voice box, he can't speak properly

Boring game. England have a better chance at winning than they did when 1-0 up against Italy at home last time. They look slightly more dangerous because Spain are not as solid at the back. I'd consider getting Watkins on for Kane early. Spain have no fast counter attack despite their wingers. England were exposed a couple of times and they get up to halfway and go sideways

Can't decide whether to watch the 2nd half or read Tolstoy's War & Peace followed by the Complete Works of Shakespeare. Doing the latter will make the time go quicker.
