Scamacca was crap at West Ham and never wanted to be in this country.
By:
he was barely given a chance by Moyes, he only started 11 games, subbed off in 8 and only played three 90 minute matches in the prem all season, it seemed Moyes didn't want him from the start and had him forced onto him, he just kept picking Antonio
By:
Quality player,Scammacca.
By:
So it was Moyes fault he didn't like this country then and maybe he blamed him for the weather as well.

By:
yeah, lacked match sharpness due to limited time, and the confidence that goes with it, whilst having to climatise to a new league and country, with the manager seemingly not showing much faith in him all the while
By:
I never realised you were a West Ham fan and watched them every week. How long have you been supporting our team?
By:
what part is incorrect though, he didn't get the minutes to show what he could do, you don't need to support any team to know that, did not get a fair crack of the whip did he. Before he came to England he was at Sassuolo, started 25 games and scored 16 goals, 6th highest in Serie A.
By:
That is your opinion based on what you think you know rather than what you actually saw. He was not happy in this country and was never committed to our club unfortunately.
By:
I saw him play and haven't said he was good for West Ham at all, I've said the reasons why he wasn't good.
By:
And I also told you why he wasn't and I saw all and every game. If you are a fan like me of West Ham then please say so and then I will be happy to discuss all.
By:
He said he was homesick.
Its happened to a few down the years, and will happen again. Good for West ham (and him) to get out quickly. |
By:
Well I love West Ham but unfortunately they have been almost unwatchable for at least 10 years now. Moyes is a good honest person but he's nowhere good enough in this age. He's had players like Haller and Anderson who are class players but he likes the boring jack of all trades master of none types. All this rubbish about how wonderful he's been really doesn't stack up. We finished last season in 14th, 1 point ahead of Bournemouth for goodness sake. Yes we all joked about winning a European trophy but it was against teams that finished at best 3rd or 4th in leagues that most Pl teams would beat if they put out their best eleven. Should have stuck with Pelligrini.
By:
Should have stuck with Pelligrini.
You having a laugh spent £180 million and we had to be rescued from relegation by Moyes. Never heard such nonsense after a 6th and 7th place finish and three seasons in Europe. |
By:
Suggest you check the facts Sparrow. Forget the Bournemouth game as Moyes was only appointed the day before and it was Pelligrinis side Moyes actually got less points per game. With Pelligrini (who actually has been success with all his clubs) we used to have more than 30% possession.
By:
Yes it was great with Pellegrini as we slid towards relegation, unfortunately you don't get points for possession and that was why we had to get back Moyes to save us again. I really can't believe some of our fans who seem to have no idea of the total lack of success this club has had over the years and I've been a fan since the mid 50s. All those great players in the 60s decade and the highest finish was eighth.
By:
I already acknowledged he was not good for West Ham, so I don't know why you keep asking about the team I support
By:
Smacca was fantastic player
Didn’t suit way we play simple as that He’s proper striker and Moyes doesn’t want proper striker was Battering ram like antiono |
By:
Antiono sum up smacca perfectly in his pod cast last season

I already acknowledged he was not good for West Ham, so I don't know why you keep asking about the team I support I ask because you seem to know all about Scamacca but won't say how many games you have seen him play. I have watched the player in every game and so assumed you too was a West Ham supporter. Are you ashamed to tell me which team you support in case I might have an opinion on the club? |
By:
what are you even talking about? just a weird post, who said I know everything about the player, all I've said is that he barely played any fully matches the whole season, just 3 prem games in total, stands to reason you can't build up momentum, confidence and understanding with teammates not to mention getting up to speed the pace of the league, no doubt homesick as stated but many players are homesick to begin with. My first post was he was barely given a chance by Moyes and you keep asking me 'what team do you support'
![]() agree with the other two west ham fans that say he is a good player, but didn't get that chance in the Premier League. |
By:
You want to busy yourself with other people's clubs but when asked about your club you get upset and refuse to answer. You are the weird one.

By:
Did you watch all those 11 games because I did?
You still refuse to answer that question from yesterday. |

it's just got weirder ![]() busy myself welcome to the forum sparrow, where you pass opinion on what you want. Very odd and defensive fellow. |
By:
Sparrow has never passed opinion on another football club in his life apparently
By:
Don't welcome me as I was here long before you. And you're the odd and weird one scandanavian heaven and don't bother answering either.

In the 60s and 70s we did win the FA Cup on three occasions. Also won the European Cup winners Cup (stronger competition than the 3rd tier Conference Cup) and were runners up in it. Above all we played entertaining football and attracted a huge amount of fans who aren't local to the team, I know as i am one and know of many others. I actually know a guy who has moved to where I am, from West Ham territory, and he goes to every game home and away and he says the football is "dire".
By:
That European Cup winners competition was no better than the Conference win and in the 60s we known as a soft touch by other clubs. Never once did we get anywhere near challenging for that league title because of our hopeless defending and if you have read Bobby Moore's book you will find out why. The manager we have now who is despised by a certain section of our fans has achieved higher finishes than any of our 1960s efforts and yet that team had three World Cup winners involved!

*we were known.

I simply said Samacca didn't get enough game time, and you'be launched yourself into a weird rant, demanding to know what team I support, and telling me you've seen every second of him for Wham, like that has anything to do with the price of bread, if he was barely played, to build confidence, momentum, form etc, then it stands to reason he's not going to look good when he does. No idea why you're being so argumentative about it.
