The knockouts will likely be cagey but at least it's the drama of knockout football

Tunisia as usual slow as anything here though Laugh it's just there way in general, they make the French look double busy

Mali and Namibia naturally cagey as draw suits both

If Tunisia take the lead against SA expect a Mexican stand off in the Mali game

At the same stage of the match as the Gambia/Cameroon match was trading at 2.2, the draw is trading at 1.2 in the Mali v Namibia match Laugh

Always surprise me how well they've done recently (as in rankings and WC qualifications) as on paper they are very average.

finally, the 0-0 results start. Only need 2 more to be level now.

You might have benefitted from such a run of overs cool hand

0-0 has surely gotten bigger as the btts has shortened in quite a bit

It's the only tournament I know of where the prize of being knocked out and returning to the comfort of your European mansion is better than the actual prize of a month in the hot sun playing for a 0-0 draw.

the KO  stages should be more to script. lots of 0-0s, unders with cards issued like confetti

about 3 or 4 world cups ago  my pal  said that an african  nation will soon win the world cup, when i watch the african  nations play they are so poor i doubt anyone one of them would even qualify for a work cup if they had to qualify from  the european groups.

been a much better tournament than anticipated, which has done away with the normal profits.

One outstanding thing is the quality of the referees in this tournament, got almost everything right and did it in a timely fashion.

However the Africans have become the masters of play-acting, never seen so many near deaths on a football pitch followed by remarkable recoveries.

One great thing about this tournament has always been how competitive it always is.  7 different winners of the last 7 tournaments.

Surprised he needed the monitor for the penalty it was a stonewaller, Cape Verde given an identical one earlier without VAR, yet this one was a booking for diving Crazy

Ivory only team looking to play after the early Senegal goal, Senegal got what they deserved sitting on a 1-0

South Korea with fantastic penalties there , no getting to them

Saudi Arabia gutting for them being so close

Burkina did have the ball in the net but as usual the attacker goes to early at that sort of free kick

As I've said previously though offsides should be scrapped at a dead ball free kick

If they did scrap them the defending side would stick someone on the post even both posts
