commentator .... "I can tell you it's 10.5 hours since Mauritania have scored in the ANC" ... literally 2 secs later they score!!

You'd have a nice level steak prophet if you'd have gone overs every match so far

Opta
There have been 65 goals in the first 24 games at AFCON 2023 (2.7 per game), the highest average in a single edition of the competition since 2008 (99/32, 3.1 per game). |
|
By:
Seven of the 24 games at AFCON 2023 have been drawn 1-1 (29%), only three previous editions have seen a higher proportion of matches drawn 1-1 in @CAF_Online AFCON history (31% in 2015, 38% in 1988 and 41% in 1972).

Tears in the streets of Abidjan tonight. Unbelievable scoreline. If you'd backed Nsue at 250/1 for top scorer pre tourney you'd be smiling. I doubt anyone did mind

Just seen the Ivory Coast score...
Why do we as gamblers always seem to not play such big prices when they land like that ![]() |
|
By:
So now we are at the bit where funny results happen . Good teams who have already qualified who don't need to win playing poorer teams who need points to scrape through. This leads to odd results and maybe betting opportunities at good prices. Anyone done any analysis to spot one of these games. ?
|
|
By:
Maybe a good team who will rest half their squad ?

All 4 teams have something to play for in the 11.30 Asian cup games today ... Syria currently at 1.55 on here a cracking price, imo.
India are the whipping boys |

I was thinking about the Afcon where it is the last qualifying round, but thanks for the tip.

|
By:
Some gamblers do pick the big priced ones, Son. Not everyone goes for the obvious.

was true for vast majority of the match - then madness late on...
very much like some non-league level games |

A draw put both teams out Stu. A win for either put the winner through. That's why it was all out attack

Algeria beaten by Mauritania who win first ever match at the Africa Nations Cup.

The African Cup of Overs and Rags. Namibia, Equatorial Guinea and Mauritania all won at double figure prices

Only 13 of 32 faves obliged so far, 11 draws and 8 rags. No 0-0s and only five 1-0s. By contrast there have been five 2-2s two 3-2s and a 4-2. Quite an atypical tournament. Don't think I can recall a similar one.

Got it all wrong this tournament it's been unpredictable
It's been a great tournament so far probably the most enjoyable international tournament recently personally No media attention either which has made it better |
|

Yeah easily the best ANC I've seen. Some real drama after a slow start
Just looked book at the last ANC. In the group stages there, 19 of the 36 group games were 1 goal or less. There were only 3 or 4 outsiders who won out of 36 (don't know who was fave in the Malawi v Zimbabwe game). Quite a contrast. |
|
By:
I've taken a bit of a pasting on unders, I've drawn stumps on the tournament now.
