Delighted we won but the disgrace was VAR not getting involved and rubber stamping the refs mistake in giving a pen for a blatant dive, what is the point of VAR when everyone who watches the reply can clearly see there was no foul and a blatant cheating dive by Sterling, i can understand the ref giving it as he gets one view in real time and can be easily deceived but VAR ?
By:
same here, never and will never like VAR.
That Walton said no clear and obvious error so won't be overturned. It's fcking sh1t. Ref made a clear mistake. |
By:
can only be overturned if it was a "clear & obvious error". not going to get much more clear & obvious than that.

Earlier KANE foul was a penalty IMO . they were never going to beat us regardless ..
By:
best team won, no doubt about it. the danes were clinging on for pens, which they may well have won.

Sterling said clear pen in interview, ref agreed, VAR agreed.
WE MOVE ON. |

Just about every player in every team cheats these days.
It's a fact - from appealing for every throw-in, goal-kick, corner, free-kick, foul etc to time-wasting and feigning injury when they know damn well the decision should be for the other side.(a real bugbear is when a player goes down holding his face and a replay clearly shows his face wasn't touched at all) Players are also encouraged to employ these dodgy tactics - they call it being street-wise. It's the reason I rarely watch "big time" football these days. Prefer watching non-league games live where the majority of players get stuck in and give 100% (and the standard is surprisingly good) and they get paid very little. |

Not a pen but the stonewaller earlier wasn't overturned either. Best team won. Move on.

True Just about every player in every team cheats these days.
But the English cheat more persistently than anyone else. The aim of appealing each decision that goes against a team is not to get that decision reversed, it is to "win" a decision later on in the game. In England this pressure is applied to the referee from the first minute. It comes from the English referee being more approachable and tolerant of dissent. |

Earlier KANE foul was a penalty IMO . they were never going to beat us regardless .. The problem with the Kane "penalty" was the referee gave a free out for the foul Kane committed a second earlier. |
By:
how much money england paid for this fixed result?
By:
If it wasn't a penalty why did VAR allow the decision?
All social/economic/philosophical theories considered. If the concensus is that VAR shouldn't have allowed the decision to stand, what is the future for VAR? |

no it was same incident he decided danish leg was there and kane kicked it. its a really tight call either way. |
By:
tight call...var will not change it at these euros.
By:
you had the likes of lee dixon and ian wright saying they don't care that it wasn't a penatly....but these same people will be criticising VAR throughout the season saying they got it wrong somewhere....they will have no right to say anything
By:
so you are stooping to quoting crappy pundits to make a point
i think you must be badly hurt get it all out ... |
By:
if italy win with a dodgy decision in the final you can bet your life they will call foul
By:
but you have the same attidude as these crappy pundits.....the decision went for us so i dont give a sh*t
By:
why cant you bring yourself to say the ref and var got it wrong
