Can they donate their CL place for next season across town to United
![]() |

By:
Fined 49m in 2014...you would think they would learn a lesson.
By:
UEFA would need to ban a couple more to get United in!

Wot fourgoldcups said. They came into fooball to wash their rep not sully it even further. I can see this case dragging on and on.

City are guilty no doubt.
But I hope they win their appeal as FPP is a scam. |

Imagine UEFA awarded the extra place to Scotland
![]() |
By:
Knowing UEFA its possible
By:
Has anyone blamed Brexit yet?
By:
Looks like Netherlands would get the extra automatic place if England only get 3.
Though Dutch Champions will be in anyway if Europa winner has qualified through the League. Austria would be next in line. |

Good to see FFP not just being a weapon against the big clubs
These cants have been taking the utter Michael for years along with other clubs spending beyond their means, PSG being another that should get the heave ho |
By:
**against the smaller clubs

if found guilty could this mean losing points in the prem league next season, as the court case would drag past this season.
50 points, having to sell a few playersand then relegation, sell mmore players and in the wilderness for years like leeds? though if the oil men just put their own cash in via buying more shares then surely no debts or potential debts are being accrued? |
By:
City are never going to be an historical club like Juventus, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Ajax etc
Those clubs can self sustain, our clubs are only any good because of the money ffs |
By:
if Juventus had the money of Woking they would be sh1t too.
money and generation of money is a massive factor, but it isnt everything. Man utd have spent nearly £1bn in transfer fees since Fergie left, and Sheff utd are above them |
By:
Surely they should be thrown out of the EPL aswell ?
By:
Mancs the new Saracens?
By:
Is there Financial fair play rules in the Premier league ? as i know there is in the championship and the Champions league
By:
Should PSG be expecting a letter soon?
By:
Should any other EPL clubs be worried?
By:
Oh that's ok then.
By:
The next champions league game at the Etihad will be electric with noise levels unheard of since that last gasp QPR win a few years ago when Real Madrid arrive to be met with an avalanche of Boooooooooooooos just before kick off
By:
EPL could dock points from Ma City too, as the issue could affect the domestic league too. Just said on SSN
By:
EPL FFP rules are pretty much in line with UEFA's so to be expected I would have thought.
By:
I suppose the Premier League would be shrewd in deducting points to drop City out of Top 4, as then they would have 4 'clean' clubs so could not lose a CL place to Holland/Austria next year.
By:
I don't know whether they can whilst an appeal is ongoing.
By:
They can issue a punishment the same as UEFA did, and whether it stands would be determined by the appeal I guess.
By:
I suppose but that would mean no club below City in the league would know their finishing position until the result from the appeal was released, and God knows how long that's going to take.

When Milan were banned from Europa their place was taken by Roma so it seems 5th place should be OK for England.
In the past though they had different rules for English clubs. Villa were not allowed in European Cup 1990/91 because UEFA said 'it is not for 2nd placed teams'. But then when Marseilles were banned in 1993/94 they just had the runners up go in. |
