Agree stu. Should be comfortable at home to this lot

If finishes 0-0 FT, then CELTIC on to next round.

This is something that made me hesitate on what bet to chose.

However, they are such an attacking side that with their huge support they probably will need to attack to please the crowd.

CLUJ a few years ago gave ROMA a tough match, from memory, so I suspect they may well score a goal tonight !

Taking a chance on OVER 1.5 and OVER 2.5 , with cover back bets on 2-0 and 1-1 for the OVER2.5.

My guess on final score is 2-1 or 2-0 CELTIC.

Personally would have thought they wouldn't want to sit on 0-0 in case of the fluke away goal nobbling them, though I do take the point that it would get them through.

Settled on a mid-size punt at the prices, rather than anything larger taking all factors into account.

Celtic to win comfortably on the basis theyre a far better side, especially at home.

Yep, last year's form (loss in this comp) was awful in europe, and this years very moderate in just getting past sides some level below Celtic.

Nothing's ever completely certain in these kind of early europe games, but I'd still expect a lot shorter.

Celtic just can't get a grip of the game. It's not down to themselves, it's down to the way Cluj are really, really pressing them every time they try and make two or three passes.

Got rid of the OVER 1.5 back......as have 0-2 and 1-1 covered.

Looks like CELTIC forwards are playing like school bhoys! Just not clinical enough.

However I expect CELTIC will really up pace and get at least 1 goal.......Always a danger from Romanians on the break....at least should be a good 2nd Half.


Still believe CELTIC will get at least 1-1 score by FT.....and the 2-1 guess might still happen if they go full out 2nd half.

Really good positive start from Celtic. But they have got to be wary that they don't over-commit and allow this team to break on them.

P BOnner also siad that he was not expecting CLUJ to play the way they did 1st half!

That's a huge blow financially for Celtic for sure.

It's a blessing in disguise. The likes of Real Madrid/Barca/PSG etc would have beaten them 10-0 at celtic Park.

League games played at fields with ribbons around them against clubs that have failed league 2 players prob not the best guide- celtic would get battered by most championship teams and only ever win at home due to having huge crowds in Europe as the metaphorical 12th man. Put Accrington Stanley infront of 55 000 of their own fans at home and they would raise their level above a park side which is pretty much what celtic are

All prob true wolf to some extent - but then Cluj were knocked out by a Luxembourg side last year - pretty sure even Celtic wouldn't have managed to drop that low.
