Fergie always praised his managers to high heaven, that's what good managers do.

I'm not saying Keane was not a good player, he was a good player, but you take a player like Gerrard - he has been on the PFA team of the year a RECORD 8 times, yet Fergie said he wasn't a top top player, just nonsense, Fergie said what suited him.

Zola was never a threat to United for the league and/or the main player for the rival club, what he said went down well with United fans, that's why he said it, and to try and harm Gerrard's confidence.

Yet, if he were playing behind Zinedine Zidane, he would be a WC winner - great players make good team-mates look great. Keane was on a par w/ Deschamps, they just had different objectives. |
