If i'd landed my 100/1 punt with Paddyshower for Keano to be next manager after Fergie [which they attempted to cancel when he went 6/4 many moons ago] we might've already had this wonderful scenario Mischief

Has to be Birtles, for no other reason other than I know that when he tried to punch me back he would inevitably miss!!!

Mind you Mourinho is totally the opposite. He doesn't mind telling his players they are sh1t Plain

Agree with your comment Pete, Jose has an eye for them ! DeBryne, Mata, Lukaku, Salhah. Good job he was at the Bridge for a second time. Without his great judgement we'd be total sh1t now Crazy

I'd pick Shaw to kick the sh1t out of as he's the only Utd player I may be a tad fitter than and while close run he may have a bigger gut than me LaughWink

On the last day ended up in an Irish bar where there was Liverpool flags on the wall. Should of seen the look on the young Mexican lads face when I told him the Mickeys where sh1t and he should pick a decent English team. Tbf he was very knowledgeable about Liverpool and English football in general.

When Jose came, didn't he tell us he uses a maximum squad size of 20 plus 3 goalies, which he upped to 23 + 3 for Europa? At the moment I count 25 + 4 and if he gets the 2 more he apparently wants thats 27 + 4. Pereira the GK going out on loan, brings the goalies back to 3. So it looks like Fosu-Mensah, Tuanzebe, Dalot and Pereira (outfield) may be destined for squad exit if two more arrive, unless there are some transfers out. Unless that is, Jose has changed his principles again and is upping squad size?

Going back to your post the other day Peter, perhaps the McTominay to Celtic suggestion is potentially happening, and with Darmian and Martial moves likely, that just leaves 1 reduction to go....... Shaw? Mata?

DeSS, its hard to get rid of players these days isn't it?

They are happy to sit there and rake in huge salaries. Some of them even want a bonus before agreeing to move on to another club. United can either stick to their principles and say no or they can give them a pay off to leave. The latter means they save a lot on wages for a player the manger doesn't want and they can bring in somebody he does want

Mind you I remember when Yorke wouldn't move under Fergie and for that reason we couldn't sign Di Canio. What a signing he would have been.

It was in the later years of Yorke's career but he didn't want to move. From memory he eventually moved the following season.

I would think Mourinho wouldn't be too unhappy to move on a couple from the following players;

Martial
Rojo
Smalling
Darmian
Jones (maybe)
Mata
Herrera

Personally I'd like Martial and Shaw to stay but they need to make it hard for the manager not to pick them. They haven't got close to doing that yet.

No idea how we'll score against AC Milan if Martial CF again. Looks like we'll be playing for 0-0 with Matic coming back. Probably rest Sanchez to make way Blush

I don't remember many shots on target in the two games so far, so with an Italian defence doubt we'll get many Cry We seem to have an aversion to taking a long pot at goal, something we were never shy of under Fergie.
