An appointment that makes no sense for SG nor Rangers.
Rangers are getting a manager who has never managed. Yet another impressive player being considered for a completely different role. (See Keane, Ince, Stam, Solskaer (cardiff), Shearer, Barnes...) SG is taking a job where success is finishing above Celtic which is unlikely in the next few years. Even if he did achieve it, would it be regarded by clubs down south? I can't see Prem clubs desperate to sign Rodgers... If Rangers finish a creditable second in the next 2 seasons, what then for SG? Championship at best but more likely League One. |

You don't need money to build a successful team in Scotland, there are thousands of very good players. Gerrard has to know what he,s doing that's all, I don't see any reason to say he doesn't .
