agreed re the time of whistle. The ball was hardly in play during those 3 minutes. At least one disallowed goal was onside. Officials aren't great these days are they, in Spain or the EPL.

Its one of the rare times the ref blows when he should when the home team or "big" team could still win the game!
Many a times teams have been relegated due to points being dropped cos of extra time or non-penalties\FKs! |

Yeh, probably a fair result in the end then Tendy. It did look a dodgy pen for RM at the end, so I guess it just squared things up with that disallowed goal that should have stood. RM only have Bale & Ramos to blame for their position in that game.

On the time thing, it is strange that the ref awarded a yellow card for time wasting to the guy taking the corner, but didn't add any time on. In those situations, the opposition would probably prefer the ref to forget the yellow card and just add on 30 secs for each time waster. Anyway, a draw still probably a fair result. With 11 men, would probably not have gone all Pete Tong for RM. League title still in their hands, though it is looking ominous with the points dropped this year and Barca getting closer.. |

Yes hfink why book the guy for timewasting and not add on any extra i agree makes no sense.
2nd half there was time to be added on for 6 yellows,1 Red and 4 goals scored plus any injury breaks and he adds on 3 mins i ask you. |

It's always easy to time waste in many leagues. In Bundesliga it's even worse where they generally only add on 2 minutes at the end of games.
If that game was the Premier League it likely would have had 5 minutes added on, but 3 minutes seems the default in La Liga. |

Yeh, 3 mins was probably way off what it should have been. But if analysed, I bet most games never come close to 90 minutes for the ball actually in play. RU defo have the better system, where they stop the clock for delays.

We've covered this before but i remember Davie Moyes saying when he was manager at Real Sociedad the ball was in play for an average of 55/60 mins in their games that year.
