They build people up and then they can't wait to knock them down again. It's not the first time and it certainly won't be the last time. I am not Big Sam's biggest fan but these guys went out of there way to trap him. They don't care who they upset or who they hurt to get their story.

Well done on your big exclusive story and ruining another high profile persons career give yourselves a big pat on the back.

You'd have to be a bigger mug than Allardyce to try and defend him and deflect the blame from his fat, greedy head.

Football agents were filmed by undercover reporters boasting about how many managers they had paid, with one agent saying that in football, “everything is under the table”.

Its a good thing stings like this uncovered the MP's expenses scandal , phone tapping,  countless people who are in power and their drug and sexual habits... what's not to love about this type of journalism.

These stings are the poorer cousins of proper investigative journalism. Only ones who fall for them are second-rate politicians, pop stars, soap stars and presumably 99.9% of football people.

With the prevelence of the sting journo you would have thought by now most intelligent people would see through it, or maybe they can't see beyond their greed.

I agree its poor journalism for me
Really, what is said in a bar over a few pints isnt anyone elses business as long as its all legal.
Yeah he has to resign cos its embarrasing for the FA, but all hes really done wrong is tried to look savvy in front of some businessmen and then had a pub conversation with them. To open up to them like that then its 1.01 for me that they must have gained his trust by talking about how they always operate within the law but they know all the tricks to get round stuff.

England 2018 leaders have admitted that an undercover investigation into FIFA by a British newspaper has 'significantly damaged' their bid to host the World Cup...The investigation has caused an anti-England backlash among FIFA members and there are now fears that a separate BBC Panorama programme due to be screened before the vote on December 2 could doom England's hopes completely.

Was that poor journalism as well?

It wasn't legal though was it, hasnt been since 2008-9 season.

This pleading ignorance is insulting to peoples intelligence - all of those parties were in league to all make a piece of the pie for themselves, indefensible.

Oh he'll be investigated alright. And if hes found guilty of anything then yes, fine piece of journalism.

If not then theyve just got him sacked for a headline

They are proud of themselves, they'll all be giving themselves a pat on the back on a job well done.

He's done little wrong, and comparing it to mp's expenses (robbing the tax payer) and phone hacking (infringing upon people's privacy) is stupid. It's a non story made big because of the PC world we live in.

No football fan really cares, only precious types wanting to make themselves feel better by taking the moral high ground.

He's pretty much banged to rights, how else could you see it from the video evidence, if he was vehement about his innocence then he should have fought it out, If he valued his reputation then he would have fought tooth and nail to defend it. He hasn't so the presumption i he knew the game was up.

“The most corrupt business in our country would be what? You’ll be shocked when I tell you this – HMRC." (Sam Allardyce)

Yeah, there's a good chance he'll be investigated - with a fine tooth comb.

Ask any fan who has to pay inflated prices to watch their team, and tell me that the greed that is fuelled by incidents like this doesn't push up the prices. Tell me that isn't the case and i will gladly retract my statements.

That would be permission to give the 'speeches' and would obviously not include granted permission to aid and assist dodgy transfer deals.
