get rid of the crack machines and they will need your money again, all shops are now arcades for the feckless and reckless, raking in 2 billion a year before anyone has even made it to the tills to get a bet on, and if you do get a bet on, you are offered peanuts to stake on any odds that that are not double digits. It's like walking into a normal shop to find there's a seedy massage parlour at the back, you didn't go looking for it but you thought you'd try it anyway,  that's what betting shops are, a front for selling CRACK. Betting shops by name, abominations by nature, Kind Regards.

deep fried mars bar brain , with witty stuff like this you mean

Fck sake mate deep fried mars bars as far as i know where introduced in the 90s and are on no menu in my area. The Myth got all the plebs thinking we eat fried mars. That's just fat fecks who do that and all those shows about fat sh1ts in UK are made in England.

I have never seen a deep fried mars i don't think maybe one back in the 90s and the guy got called a savage for eating it , sure they do toffee crisps in places , manky coonts.

I've never ever seen a chippie selling fried mars bars.
I think us Scots are too sophisticated for stuff like that.

Chaser seen yer earlier post re roulette system.
Was in a laddies and one ne'er do well was telling all and sundry of a system for the cartoon races.
The only thing I remember was bet any number 11 that is 22/1. Never lose seemingly.

Laugh

The people who play them are clueless , i played them for a while when they first arrived , then you get people telling you how to win on them and they believe there is a system Grin

They are all linked around the other shops aren't they? They just drop to some lucky fecker or someone who has ploughed a grand in and walks with 500 quid in his back burner and thinks he is up for the day.

A guy I used to work with stopped me in the street and whispered, "I`ve got a wire today but don`t tell anybody the horse". I agreed and he told me the horse. "Never heard of it", I told him, "Is it running in Ireland?"

"No", he whispered, "2.30 at Portman Park. A friend of a fiend knows the guy that does the commentaries"! LaughLaugh

The Coup - Ken Payne`s biography. Get a copy of that chaser if you can. Great read. He used to raid the Scottish tracks in the 70s and landed many a hefty gamble. It`s been reprinted and on Amazon.

There is also a dvd named Murphy`s Stroke about the Gay Future betting coup at Cartmel on a 70s Bank Holiday. Well worth a watch.

You hear all sorts of nonsense from the regulars in the bookies.
Was standing next to a FOBT studying a race card when a punter went up to the FOBT player and told him "7 coming up a lot today"
Feckin lunatics some of them.

No mate. They brought a Ringer over from Ireland and trainer entered it along with two stablemates across the card and they went round all the shops punting the three in Trebles with no intention of running the other two. In fact they never left the stables but phoned the other track, where the other two were running, telling them the horse box had broke down and they were scratched. All the money went on to the Ringer and it romped home. I`ll tell you no more. Watch the film.

The non runner fecked them mac.
You remember the tote con that McCririck unearthed?
They used to bump in imaginary bets if the dividend was too big.
They stuck too much in and 2 loud ones paid pennies in a dual forecast.

The thing with these machines is that you have no opinion whatsoever. If I back a horse at 10/11 I have studied and came up with an opinion. Win or lose it's down to me whether I'm right or wrong. No choice with the machines.

You can`t beat the machines stewarty. They are programmed to beat you.
