£28m for a guy who runs with the ball, does a few stepovers and has no end product whatsoever. Just awful value.

22m up front is a fine deal for a player who scares defences whether he is on his game of not. You find very few wingers who are consistently on their game, its the nature of the position.
Niasse who can't kick a ball cost 13.5m so you'll find most Evertonians happy with the deal. |

Terrible value... At least £10m too much, even in today's crazy market imo.
Mind you, if you change it to Bolasie and £20m for John Stones, it doesn't sound quite so bad. |

Saw him give one of the best displays at Goodison two years ago. Saw him at Palace twice against other opposition and he was dreadful.
From an over-arching view we have -£10m net spend and undoubtable improved the squad. Just another 4 to go and us fans will be happy  |

As I understand it, his Agents have been busy fabricating stories fabricating Madrid, Man U, Arsenal interest etc, in order to keep his profile high. Good article on the Chronicle website tonight about the reality of the situation, i.e. It is likely he needs to realise that level of club doesn't fancy him. Only West Brom shown any firm interest. Palace rumoured and now Everton. That's the level he's at, if that, for me. |

Little rumour i have heard is we have offered what we believe is 'market rate' and its been approved with Galloway going the other way.

I thought Bolasie looked unplayable a few times season before last and wondered why he wasn't at a bigger club. Recall him destroying Liverpool in his one game.
Last season seems disappointing but wasn't he injured for about 3 months which coincided with Palace's awful run ? |

He played in every month, apart from January.
I think (and there may be some bias here) that Palace fell apart after Xmas, much like AP's Newcastle used to do. Can't remember which way around it is, but AP's Palace have lost more / won less games than any other team in 2016. That's some going with the dross kicking around - including the dross I follow. |

If koeman gets end product out of him it might be money well spent. He obviously thinks he can. Every PL club pays a premium now cos of the extra money. Everyone knows they have it. Any club will jack the price up by 5m if selling to a PL club and they'll get it. It's probably worse again when buying from another PL club cos none of them need the money

You can get far better value abroad. If Bolasie was playing in Spain he probably be worth like £5m. Man Utd bought Mkhitaryan for around the same price as this.

V surprising signing - wasnt the point of getting Steve Walsh from Leicester to pick up a few gems from overseas? - Bolasie will have to score nearly 10 a season for 3/4 years to represent value at that price, and there's long odds on him doing that

The supporters seem to worry more about value than the clubs do.
If you've got limitless funds then it doesn't really matter. Clubs like Everton and Liverpool can only attract players of a certain level and Bolasie is at that level. We might have £200 million to spend but if no one who's any good will come, then we end up with the likes of him. Brenda $punked away £100 million when Suarez went and there's every chance we'll do the same with the Stones money. |

There is no way Everton couldn't get a better player than Bolasie from abroad for cheaper, it's just clubs have become lazy and scouting is poor in the Premier League.

I think Bolasie has Top 4 level skill . He has embarrassed and destroyed defenders in the way only the very best wingers can.
No way is he a mid table player in terms of ability. Actually if he was playing for Celta Vigo or someone his highlight reel might well be held up as an example of why La Liga is better. I also wonder whether a manger as unsophisticated as Pardew has been getting the best out of him. Whether he produces is often enough is the thing. |
