That's that then, Germany not clinical in front of goal but ref deserves the earlier abuse and blame.
The penalty would not of been given in any other football match played anywhere in the world. The german's player's hand went up as the challenge was made with the French player. Not meant at all. And the yellow card given made it even more laughable. The ref could not even see the incident directly from where he was. To make a decision as big as that, in a game as important as this makes it a truly awful refereeing decision. And whatever has happened afterwards, that decision influenced one of the biggest football matches played in the world. |
