Italy played super good football. They even started to take yellow cards on purpose at the 65min and took 3 of them, to prevent Belgium from advancing. Looked like a robot playing, about on same level as Germany.

What ya think?

I'll be backing them but I wouldn't be rushing out to get on anything more than a narrow win.  They will be far too good for Sweden, IBRA will get about 10 touches of the ball in 90 minutes.

This group situation may lead to this being an open exciting game, sweden lucky to have a point after ireland game and will need to play better esp on right side attacking,Italy squad seem very bonded and are technically shrewd imo, hoping this leads to goals though italy can be very cagey but wont want to need stress of needing points in lasy group game v Ireland. Much depends on zlatan for swedes,he knows italian defenders and will need to have a good game to provide a threat to italy as swedes didnt have a shot ontarget in first game.draw/ italy ht-ft is tempting and 2-1 3-1 correct scores.

Buffon and defenders were great against Belgium. Don't expect a lot of goals. Laying Sweden.

lets not get carried away now.  sweden will be parking the bus and trying to hit italy on the break, looking to get another draw.

italys defence is perfectly set up to absorb pressure but they sure as hell arent equipped to deal with a quick counter attack should they lose possession, though I guess the juve guys at the back are well used to it.

if its 0-0 or 1-1 with 20 minutes left id fear for us italy backers, 1 point suits them.

i might be wrong and they could go 2-0 by ht and down tools for the afternoon.

I can see a 0-0, but find it hard to believe that Sweden can get a ball passed Buffon. Perhaps in case of a penalty.

I find it hard to believe Sweden will get the ball across the half way line, let alone have a shot.

When did Sweden become Scotland? Ireland had the better first half, but after they took the lead Sweden camped in Ireland's half and Ireland got a good point. If they can keep it tight, why couldn't a moment of Ibrahimovic magic settle things?

Wouldn't want to be on an Italy win either. Draw isn't a bad result, and Sweden aren't a bad team

Personally am laying Sweden, as I think Italy will have enough to get the draw at worst, but it won't be as easy as Belgium

Have to agree JC

Sweden are capable of defending well. It just a case if Italy can break them down or nor. I am taking a punt they can and pre match odds of evens are generous to punt on. If a team is bent on defense it is hard to break them down. Belgium were architects of their own downfall. I actually thought they opened Italy up a few times. Luck plays a large part too.

Belgium aren't a bad side - Sweden are. That said, I'd be more comfortable laying Sweden than backing Italy. Unfortunately, I've done the latter.

Bad is probably overstating it, but they're pretty poor.
