I have Kodi installed on my laptop and a friend of mine showed me Sky Sports working OK on it but I'm at a loss concerning basic navigation - can anyone tell me an idiotproof way to find the sports channels as well as ATR & RUK as I am literally useless.

The youtube tutorials are useless as when they navigate through their pages, there are different things appearing in the folders compared to what's appearing on my screen.

It's far from straightforward for me...I thought there might be a basic search option for the likes of ATR but I can't find it - help please Sad

Is it possible to watch sky sports or what ever the chelsea match is on via my laptop. I already installed kodi, and think I need to add an addon? If so what Haddon and from which heading? Videos? programmes?

A bit late to set up your Kodi for the Chelsea game but go here and have a read. Probably be more fun than Chelsea PSG anyway!

Can anyone help? How can I locate the sports on Kodi?
There's a mound to search and I don't know where to look...I've already wasted ages trying to find the sports.

What build or apps do you have

KD - I don't know mate...all that I do know is that it's in working order as a mate showed me the sports playing.
All I'm trying to do is find out WHERE they can be located.

Turn kodi on. Click on 'video' then click on 'video add-ons' if you have any apps on it they'll be there. Click on one of them and they'll give you a choice of different programmes. Otherwise get your mate to walk you through it!

CJ - thanks a lot for that mate...your advice was more than helpful.
I've managed to get it working a bit, though for some reason I only have Sky Sports 1,2 & 3 - where can I get 4 & 5 from?

Just click out of the app you're in  (or add ons as they're know as) and try another.

still using sports devil to watch sport. most of the streams from the usual sites don't work but i can always find a working stream somewhere. is there a better add-on to use? cheers

navel gazer i never look for channels, i just go to 'live football' or 'now playing' and it will list all of the footie matches being streamed that day. you should be able to locate 4 and 5 somewhere tho if you keep looking

Thanks for all the tips everyone. What programme do people currently use for watching films? I see on Pheonix there is something called tmpt or something and that  looks  to have a few films including a few recently released films (2015).

Are there better alternatives?

Incidentally when I google it it suggests Genesis however someone on here argues against using that option.

have a look at "showbox" app, I use that for movies and tv progs. easy to use, just open the app and the movies are there to watch or download

spykes  - you have to tick (or untick) that you accept apps from non apple sources - can't remember where it is but google it. I'm not sure that would be needed in kodi though - i have kodi on my mac mini but don't use it on that much at all now.

On the subject of nosing around dodgy software sites. I just used AdwCleaner to rid my computer of a very annoying piece of malware that highlighted text and linked to adverts - Ads by Advertise.

I can't recommend AdwCleaner enough. Fantastic piece of kit.
