I've got myself an amazon fire stick and intend to downloaded Kodi software. I'm ditching SkyGrin Does anybody have any thoughts on the best subscription channel to watch the Premier League football and most other sports? If so, any idea of the cost? Any help very much appreciated.

you need to install Phoenix for kodi

and then once inside Phoenix:
Valhalla > Live TV > LIVE GAMES

Anyone know if it's possible to cast Kodi to a TV using Google Chromecast?

As well as using Kodi I use MOBDRO to watch sports (has many other channels)
Sofaking, I would look on youtube, if it can be done i am sure it will be on youtube.
I found the youtube videos for setting up kodi very helpful (I new nowt when I first installed it and found them easy to follow)

Paul, your best bet is to install the wookie add on.  Then download their customised build, this will have all the apps you will ever need.  As for guaranteed HD streams of all sports, I use sportsmania.eu and pay £17 fro 3 months.  It pays for itself with one PPV boxing or UFC.  PM me if you need anything, I have been buidling these boxes for years now

why frig about when you can buy them already loaded on ebay for approx £50, i was going to get one myself but have since learnt that

they use an awful amount of data and are only really ok for someone with unlimited data.  Sad

Does anybody know if these sticks work if your broadband is slow. My download speed is only 6.8 mb!

From my research you need a minimum of 8mb or else it's likely to buffer. Kelly might be better informed though

Well thats b*ggered that then. I can't get fibre broadband here yet!
By:

You'd probably need at least 15 MBPS for a decent uninterrupted stream.

You dont need fibre to have fast broadband. I've got speeds of around 30 with the normal overhead cables.

disagree, 2mb is fine for normal and 4mb for HD.  Most HD streams are actually 720p and 4mb is enough for this.  If you were streaming a 1080p stream then you would ideally need 8-10meg.

The on thing to remember is there are a load of variables but what I say above is ample.  If you are also on a dedicated sub for say sports streams then even more so.

never had a problem with sportsmania.eu  but as said i would suggest downloding a build, it can take weeks upon weeks to get your Kodi looking professional if you dont know what you are doing.  A lot of the builds are now stramlined and not bloated with stuff for a better experience.  If you dont like the buld change it to another

You can but fully loaded Firesticks on eBay, is this something to consider or would you give them a wide birth?

Once you have Kodi on your stick just go to youtube and you will find numerous easy to follow vids. I have one with Hyper TT build, and another with wookie (as mentioned above). You can always add other addons when you get used to what they can do and become a bit more familiar with them.

For footie I use operation robocop and get the prem league pass through that with every game. NJM soccer, NBC has HD streams and if you watch golf NBC Golf is superb. For tv series/movies stay away from Genesis as will be gone soon and loads of streams won't work.

Once kodi is on a stick adding a new build is a doddle, so if you bought a preloaded one even if a few things didn't work you could add wookie in a few mins.

You can also watch and listen to a lunatic whilst adding it:

Ok thanks Magic. I've already got a firestick but contemplating getting another and giving the first one to my son. Thanks very much for the advice

You will find some builds have others things that previous ones didn't, but you can still find and install the addons you want generally. Youtube has loads of info, get familiar with it and then try a few things, you can always go back and add the build again if you do something wrong or delete stuff you didn't want to.

Nobody needs to spend any money at all to use anything on kodi - the boxes etc are a complete and utter con and you will do your money. It may take 1 week or 6 months but eventually you will realise you've been conned. Just download kodi for free at the official site onto an old laptop if need be and away you go. Load 'phoenix' and 'exodus' - costs nowt and takes about 2 hours out of your day (if that). Alternatively take a look at something called 'wetek core' as that does the biz well and has good support.

Great tools to have but prepared to be forever chasing streams. Some sites/add-ons last for weeks, some for months and some for even years but none last forever.

Still it's free and better than watching on a pc or laptop.

No good for betting in-play though as the streams are frequently over 1-2 minutes behind.
