Threw the league away yourselves without blaming other teams

I can't believe all these fannies cashing out 5000/1 bets
Settled for £72000 for a £50 stake (so £250k) Absolutely no balls |

72k pretty life changing, not exactly something you'd want to lose - though personally I'd partial cash out and leave some running.

If I win my 100 quid backing them, will be happy enough

I wouldnt be jumping on at this price.
Sure none of the chasing pack have looked convincing but Leicester have been barely beating sides themselves, theres still a hell of a lot of points to be played for. |
|
By:
They have the advantage that they can drop points and still win though.

By:
they've got to show a lot of bottle to win it- can't see it happening.
lumping on now, when they are close to evs, just seems bonkers. palace will turn them over. |

Ive watched their last 5 games now, 3-1 away to City, 2-1 away to Arsenal, 1-0 away to Watford, 1-0 at home to Norwich and 2-2 at home to West Brom.
Besides the Manchester City game, theyve been on the back foot consistently against everyone else. It hasnt been a tactical masterclass by Ranieri suckering teams in, theyve genuinely looked like theyre about to let in a bunch of goals with last ditch tackles, the woodwork and the ref stepping in to save them. They cannot hold possession when they need to, which is vital when you're under pressure. Teams have been missing clear cut chances against them for weeks now. Without Mahrez as an outlet they'd be ****, even a player I love in Vardy cannot carry a threat without Mahrez. I havent got the heart to bet against them but at the odds I should be. If they continue to be lucky, they will be going into their final 3 games either level or 1 point adrift of Spurs, needing to win these games rather than just hold on. |

Their next 3 games are more important than their last 3, Newcastle at home, Palace away and then Southampton at home. For me they need 3 wins out of 3.

Plenty of title winning teams have plenty of matches where they look like they're about to concede but never actually do it. Their defensive record has been excellent for months now and that's no fluke. On Saturday they were in control for most of the second half and towards the end they battered West Brom.
The big concern with them is there's likely to be a time when the players suddenly realise just what they're on the brink of achieving but that goes for Tottenham as well if they were to get close. The other thing to factor in is just about everyone wants them to win it amongst neutrals. If you're a player in a team with not much to play for coming up against them, deep down you're not begrudging losing to them. Some of those matches looking tricky on paper may become a lot less tricky for that reason alone. |

I really hope youre right Marcce, I just feel theres too many games left to be relying on good fortune, lets hope they prove me wrong and approach their next 3 games like a team who deserve to win the league.
27 points to play for, they already have 5 in the bank over the others, 4 wins and a draw would win them 73 points. Spurs would need 6 wins from 9, Arsenal 7 wins from 9 (plus more goals) and City 8 from 10 - all of which I feel is too much in hand for the last two. At least 4 more wins and 1 draw knocks out Arsenal and City, the sooner they can do that the better, if theyre going into their last 3 games within 1 or 2 points of the rest they could be ****. |

Plenty of teams have won the league without being able to keep possession. Hell fergus later Man U teams had fletcher Anderson, forty year old gigs giving the ball away like it was going out of fashion. All you need is an organised defence and a forward line with pace and you have cracked the English game. Leicester have more than enough in hand

I doubt the "team for the neutrals" theory really makes any difference. I mean the teams they are up against are all professionals, they are all playing for pride, making a bid to move to bigger clubs etc.
What clacher says about them struggling in their recent games, I'd take note people. Their luck cannot hold forever. I can see them beating newcastle (although that is no certainty) but would you be surprised if palace were to turn them over? Will they get these supposedly magic "four wins" before they play their last three games, all which is against tough opposition? I have serious doubts. People are dazzled by the points total, yes that's important but every game from now on in is the biggest in the clubs history, and the pressure might just begin to tell. Liverpool a couple of years ago were supposed to be home and hosed, they also had a decent lead and slipped up. Man U when they lost the title to City on the final game, were also very short. Leicester might well go on and win it but at the current price you have to be a layer, even if they win the chances are very high they will drift out at some point (although I must admit, even if they went to 2-1 I wouldn't back them back again) |

Which games have Leicester struggled in? Since the Arsenal game which they were winning until a red they have been generally on top in their last 3 getting 7 points. Another 5 minutes vs wba and they would have won that as well. In fact they've had more possession, more shots, and more shots on target in these matches, if thats struggling then get on them to win it!

Last season in their last 9 games they came up against 6 of the teams they have in their last 9 games this time around. West Ham, Swansea, Chelsea, Newcastle, Swansea and Sunderland. They won 4 of those games, drew 1 and only lost to Chelsea. Why was that? Because most of those teams had nothing left to play for when they faced Leicester.
All very well to say people are "dazzled" by the points total but by the same degree people are also doing them down because it's Leicester. At this stage of the season they've won more games than anyone else, have lost less games than anyone else and have scored the most number of goals in the league along with Man City. In short they've been the best team in the league up to now. It's also easy to be "dazzled" by those last 3 games. Everton and Chelsea will have nothing left to play for by then and one of them could quite possibly have a cup final coming up a week or 2 later. Plus as a Chelsea fan, I can assure you that Tottenham coming to Chelsea in our last but one home game will face a whole different test to Leicester in our last home game should it all be up for grabs by then. I also referred to the fact that at some point it's highly possible they could get affected by what they could be about to achieve but that also applies to both Tottenham and Arsenal, both of whom have blinked in the last few games. |

Should be Southampton and Sunderland.

only spurs of the chasing pack can realistically get to around 75 and they'll have to play out of their skin to get 20 points from the last 9 games. i'd snap your arm to get even 4 points off liverpool and chelsea away and united at home. we never ever win any of these 3 games
leicester can afford to make so many mistakes and still win it. be surprised if they need more than 3 points from those supposedly difficult last 3 games and it could quite easily be in the bag by then |
|
By:
i still have a feeling they will be stopped in their tracks.
Authorities don't like underdogs coming out on top . Some new rule will be made up surely ? i'd be very surprised if theyre allowed to win this . Maybe a 10 points reduction ,some broken rule . If somehow they do or are actually allowed to ,this bit of history will be swept under the carpet with no reference to Leicester ever winning the title . |
|

deduction * even
|
|
By:
maybe a Wimbledon style approach - get RID of the club so they no longer exist .That way they can have no entitlement to this glory.
|
|
By:
If they approach the next 3 games like they have the last 3, should be fine. Injuries to certain players will be worry, but I think they have the bit between their teeth, and have more confidence than people realise.
|
|
By:
Still confident backers?
|
|
By:
Leicester were 2.28 to back & 2.3 to lay on 6 March.
Currently they're 2.04 to back & 2.06 to lay. If they beat Newcastle tomorrow (Away form: P14 W2 D1 L11 gf7 ga32) they'll go odds on. March 6 was not the day to lay Leicester. |
|
By:
man united - hopeless
everton - one eye on possible cup final chelsea - spurs or arsenal could be the beneficiaries of them getting a result |
|
By:
fergie thinks they'll have it won with 3 games to spare. looking at spurs and leicester's next 4 i can see where he's coming from
|
|
By:
don't recall fergie being renowned as a tipster.
|

By:
They are very layable right now, I have a heart so I wont do it, I'm not very ruthless in my gambling these days.
Not so much because I think they'll bottle it but more because I think theyve played **** for a while. |
|
By:
Odds on now
1.82/1.83 5 points clear, 8 games to go ![]() |
|
By:
another poor performance against a **** team but ill take it. |
|
By:
Those last 3 supposedly tough games don't look so difficult now given how each are playing.
|
|
By:
Chelsea are where they are, because thats where, they deserve to be. Man Utd don't deserve to be in 5th, 10th is about where they ought to be and why would they be worried about Everton at home, their toughest fixture is West Ham at home. At worse I can see Leicester getting 8 more points and Spurs won't get much more than about 75 maxumum.
|
|
By:
Either Man Utd or Everton will have their eyes on Wembley by then.

Plus Chelski are woeful.
