Hi Guys, I've done a tenner Acca on Formartine, Spartans, Linlithgow, Stirling Uni & Cove...all to be winning at Ht/Ft.....my bet is currently unsettled with jam stains.....does anyone know what the half time scores were? Thanks

It's a loser

I believe Gretna equalised in 42nd minute. Reports say Formartine should have been out of sight by then. Think the others were all winners.

Just a quick sideline away from the footy and only cos I work in St Andrews.
Anyone as a lucky chap to work about 300 yards from the famous links at St Andrews I have been out on the course since monday. Was interesting to see Pat Perez playing from as early as Monday. Striking the ball really well. Today however Branden Grace and Charl Swhartzel were burning the links up. Speaking to an ammy partner (They were on a wager), they had hit 15 birdies between them before the 16th Tee. Grace in particular was playing superbly. Both played with driver on 16 shaping left to right which is the toughest option on that hole. Both then pitched to within 10 feet. They both missed the putts but I have seen more than enough to have my sheckles on Mr Grace. His course form is pretty strong. 20th at the Open. Won this in 2012. Tied 25th last year after an opening disaster at Carnoustie. Tied 4th at Us Open and 3rd at the PGA this year. With Spieth and Day around this year that is very solid major form. |

For me it's far too competitive to bet. I honestly couldn't rule out 70+ of the field. St Andrews is a piece of piiss with no wind and the pin placements set easy for the celebs. They'll wipe the floor with it, Kingsbarns and even the toughest course Carnoustie. The pro-am nature of the tournament may suit some more than others but it's really just gonna be a putting contest primarily. The winning score will probably be about 25 under maybe lower.
After trading loads of players the last couple of days I've decided it's too difficult and laid them off for £200 profit. Kept Bjerregaard and Pelle Edberg for 3k each as I think longer hitters will be favoured but I couldn't be confident about anyone. Good luck SBA and everyone else. You'll need it ![]() |
