Handed in transfer request now too

Ridiculous that he's even considering the move, and he's been badly advised by an agent who is only interested in himself because career wise, it could affect his chances of making the Euro squad, he's not going to replace Terry this year and I can't see him displacing Cahill, even if people think he will, it's still a very risky move to jepodise your chances of playing at Euro 2016 when you're not guaranteed to be first choice, he is at Everton and should have stayed to at least the end of the season, where Terry may retire.

terry and cahill been poor this season i would put stones in the side

By:
35 million and the rest.

i,d be more worried about the special one ripping him up for shoitehouse at a press conference, after his 1st square pass across the back is intercepted, couldnt think of a worse manager to progress his career under

By:
rubbish will learn a lot with jose
By:
Cahill is an absolute carthorse, will be playing for Leyton Orient in League One next season.
By:
Can't see Jose being as sympathetic with his inevitable mistakes (and there are plenty).
By:
exactly costing everton a goal aint back page news costing chelsea one in the wrong game and its career threatening
By:

By:

2 days ago :
The Everton director Jon Woods claimed neither he nor the chairman, Bill Kenwright, will sell John Stones in this transfer window. |
By:
I won’t sell him, Bill won’t sell him, because there aren’t many days to go
By:
As luck would have it.....
Everton play Chelsea in the first game after the international break at Goodison. Early Saturday KO. You just know Jose would play him in that game. |

from one Everton fan :
As an Everton fan, I am not surprised as it seems to happen only too regularly. As a football fan, it's why I don't watch much football in person anymore. If this is the way things are then £30-odd a month for Sky is much more preferable to £40 plus a game (would vary club to club) if I were to go in person. Also, why should I shell out for kids to see players who will go as soon as a big wage is waved under their noses. Is that what they are to aspire to? Be loyal for as long as the money is good and then see which way the wind is blowing and jump ship? Maybe the kids can transfer to a richer family if they don't get enough for Christmas. If I can't keep up with the Joneses then in this day and age the kids will go and join the Joneses. What a wonderful world and what a wonderful example to show to kids... |

By:
His contract runs until 2019 which he signed last year, quite simple for Everton to reject the transfer request.
By:
Exactly. If its true, only coming from the jokers at sky so far, Everton have all the power here.
By:
The absolute irony of that Everton fan above. The only reason Stones is with Everton is because he jumped ship at Barnsley. Some might think as soon as a big wage was waved in front of him whilst most would say as soon as a chance to better himself came along.
Of course Everton can reject the transfer request. However if his form were to dip then they have a problem. |
By:
oops, forgot Everton still owe Chelsea £28m for Lukaku at the end of the month
By:
I'm sure as a lad from Barnsley he always dream't of playing in Liverpool and London

By:
players want to win things, thats more likely to happen at chelsea than everton, you cant blame him if he wants to move
By:
No but we can blame him for waiting til the last week of the window to hand a transfer request in. If he did that is.
I suppose our inept board might have asked him to do it so they don't look so bad though. |
By:
Chelsea do need him though after the way City ripped their defence a new one

By:
maybe United might feel like hijacking the deal #revengeforpedro

Potentially Stones is a great player but he's not there yet. He's been put on his ar$e a couple of times already this season and his heading of the ball and positional play still needs some work but he's absolute class when carrying the ball out of defence - as good as I have seen for 20 years.
One of the big problems he will have at Chelsea is that he's probably too nice a guy to abuse the referee and opposition players as is the norm in their case. I don't know if he can be taught that "skill" and unless he signs up to it he will never be a long term answer for Mourinho. |

Alt. Bilbao only sign and recruit players from the greater Basque country. That is a catchment area of about 3m people. Yet they are comfortably surviving at the top level. Hell they even knocked Man U out of Europe a few seasons ago.
The richer EPL clubs, esp. the nouveau riche ones, have to overpay for 'beards' like Stones, Sterling, Shaw etc to cover 'bald spots' ie the lack of top domestic talents coming thru their ranks. |
By:
Hell they even knocked Man U out of Europe a few seasons ago.
Only Bracelona in recent years have treated united the way Bilbao did in both home and away matches. |
By:
don't make me laugh miss wales everytime a home player goes down in box your fans scream for a pen and everytime someone is brought down you scream for a red card you are well known for it a bit rich coming from everton fans
By:
its life if a club that as plenty of money and are in the top 4 year after year come knocking on a door of a club that are not they are going to find it very hard to keep a player ie john stones
