Celtic are a licence to print money
By:
1 was bad enough,
2 is terminal. |
By:
f*ck you Basel...
By:
They won bigH.
Of course it's not terminal Plat. |
By:
Celtic can't defend. Malmo big favs now.
By:
You were impressed by Malmo defensively then?
By:
Malmo can't defend either, but they're far better going forward. Their home record speaks for itself. Big favs for me.
By:
Sloppy play late in game ...distracted by booking on the corner...and set piece wins Swedes a 2nd goal.
CELTIC are very likely to score at least 1 goal away IMO....so still in with fair chance to qualify ...though LUSTIG loss is big one for C. |
By:
Exactly. Far from over.
Btw, you're not joe67 are you? |
By:
2 poor sides, but Celtic still have a massive chance. Don't read to much into Malmo's 3-0 win v Salzburg. Salzburg absolutely battered them but couldn't score.

Joe67 popped in here the other day, first time in ages
![]() Might sound like I'm being over pessimistic but I've watched Celtic and scottish football getting worse every year. They were never big favs for this tie. |
By:
And I agreed with you in the first reply on this thread. Of course Malmo are favs now but you're righting them off far too readily imo. That said, I saw none of the 2nd half.
By:
Writing them off even.
By:
Celtic now shorter to qualify than they were before this match and Malmo now a bigger price to qualify
By:
They'll need a massive performance over there.
By:
Lustig will be a massive miss for them. Can't see them not conceding.
By:
Celtic will defo need to score , Malmos star man back also Rosenborg used to have him when i played Championship Manager in 2001

I agree with Plat about the price on Malmo again, even if I'm not as pessimistic about Celtic's chances as he.
By:
And this time I might follow him in.

By:
Malmo will have to field their ineligible player.

celtic heading out, have got what they deserved
By:
still have another 6 games after malmo no matter what happens , not all bad
one goal over there for Celtic and game over |
By:
Agree with sevenone. There's certainly a few joe67 tribute acts on here.
Celtic a goal up and still odds on to qualify, rightly so too. It's Malmo we are going to play not Madrid. Roll on Tuesday Hail Hail |
By:
the tie is 50/50 in the balance. will watch the 2nd leg with interest. 1-0 Malmo at home puts Malmo through.
By:
Celtic will score

By:
Two very poor sides as posted above and the money won will make little difference to either of their long term prospects.
Whipping boys at the group stage. |
By:
Malmo manager was very insulting towards Celtic in pre-match interviews so this is very much a grudge match with Celtic wanting to stuff his words down his throat. Form goes out of the window in these situations and I can see a very feisty game in the return leg. Malmo also very poor defensively and I can't see them keeping a clean sheet. Finely balanced match which could go either way and which I shall be avoiding

Back goals and be done with it both teams cant defend
By:
Malmo bosses at home apparently 0-0 would have been better not many teams go through a 2 legged tie when conceding 2 away goals
By:
Agreed Hamster its 50/50 , just hope celtic dont hang on for a 0-0 as Malmo will score you would think
If Celtic can take the lead then park the bus |
