think it would have been better in the long term if it stayed at 1=0
fingers would have been pointed at the likes of jones, gibbs, delph who are not up to this level
as for italy

if they can not defend a lead against england, then there isnt much hope for them at all

think the message here is
it doesnt matter if its rooney or kane playing up top
you have to have ball players in the midfield at international level
forwards will always have chances, they will score at best 1 in 3
the more possession you have, the more chances you get
