The first 30 mins was the best football seen at Ibrox from a Rangers Team since the days of Dick Advocaat.
This was against a very strong Burnley side better than any current team in Scotland. Week by week, Rangers get stronger, Rangers improve and Rangers win title this season. |

Looking good. Early days as well and can get even better.
|

By:
Did you buy a season ticket ackie?
|
|
By:
So softlad tell us again that Arthur Askey won Wimbledon.
I'll add that to your other list of 'mistakes'. |
|
By:
BTW No I've not bought a season ticket ...............
|
|
By:
why not?..you said you were gonna...what on earth are you dribbling about arthur askey???
|

By:
I can't wait. Be like rolling back the years seeing QotS, Raith Rovers and Morton again.
I'll also be going to the away games and visiting Palmerston, Starks Park and Cappielow again. BTW all places that were harder to get points from than the likes of Pittodrie. Mid-week and Friday nights out though. |
|
By:
when was that ackie in the 60's?
![]() ![]() |
|
By:
It was actually. The Cappielow bugler was a feature in those days.
Morton were the first club to bring in Scandinavian players. A second tier team but they reached the league dup final. Allan 'Quick Draw' McGraw was one of their stars, a phenomenal goal scorer. They beat Hibs 1-0 in a mid-week game at Ibrox in the semi final. Rangers trounced them 5-0 in the final. Cousins Forrest(4) and Willoughby(1) scored all Rangers goals. |

I posted a reply - disappeared - 2nd go
It was in the 60s. The lone bugler was a feature at Cappielow. Morton had a great team then. Were in the 2nd tier and reached the league cup final. Beat Hibs 1-0 in the semis at Ibrox in a midweek tie before getting trounced 5-0 by Rangers in the final. Two cousins Forrest (4) and Willoughby (1) scored Rangers goals. Morton were the first team to bring in foreigners in numbers from the Scandinavian countries. They had a prolific goal scorer in Allan 'Quick Draw' McGraw. I remember Morton scored over 100 goals one year. |

Was the 60s and Morton had a great team but were in the second tier. |

They were the first team to import foreigners in numbers from the Scandinavian countries.
They had a prolific goal scorer called Allan 'Quick Draw' McGraw not to mention the lone bugler. |
|
By:
Reached the league cup final in a year they scored over 100 goal.
They beat Hibs at Ibrox 1-0 in the semis but the Glorious Glasgow Rangers humped them 5-0 in the final. Great days. I went to some of Mortons home ties. |

Did I hear right from the Glib "that the fans need to put more money into the club?" Unbelievable. The man aint got the cash
|
|
By:
Read my point at 7.41 Kriskin.
Now on the subject can you tell me how much DD put into celtic last year, or the year before or the year before. I'm not sure of the answer although I do know how much he took out. ![]() |
|
By:
DD should be putting more in to the club. I agree. But King is the one who is shouting out 30 million. Desmond doesn't say anything like that
|
|
By:
Where's all the money gone at parkhead? celtic supporters too obsessed with Rangers and can't see what's happening at their own place.
Millions been taken from celtic in wages and bonuses every year but you mugs are too busy with us to notice. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

DK has pledged the cash but it would be stupidity to spend it in this division.
The money is there, the pledge has been made and the cash spent at the proper time. BTW as I've previously stated the cash can only be invested through underwriting shares issue. |
|
By:
Anyways all that aside things are looking good.
Great manager and a promising start with Rangers playing good free flowing football. Phase one completed. ![]() |

Rangers fans delighted with the good performance last night against a strong Burnley side.
Even Celtic fans will soon have to concede the huge progress being made on the pitch and even better without forking out huge fees on 3rd rate Turkish Delight. |

Shock horror. The well known Rangers expert brac has got a fact wrong.
DK never had an executive position with Rangers under DM. HTH. |

The current Rangers chief has also said that he has invested more money in the club than any other person in its history. Speaking in an interview on Sky Sports News ahead of his meeting with Sports Direct chief Mike Ashley to discuss the club's existing retail deal, King looked back on the time he previously spent on the board during Murray's boom then bust years. Reflecting on his decision to invest £20million of his own cash in a club that was hemorrhaging funds, King said that his only disappointment was that Murray did not come clean about the true financial situation. By staying silent and waiting until the banks stepped in, King said Murray is directly to blame for the arrival of Craig Whyte and the club's slide into administration and ensuing liquidation. "I sat on the board under David Murray for most of that period," said King, "so I was aware what we were doing with the money. |

DK was a non executive director of Rangers and took absolutely nothing to do with the day to day running of Rangers.
I'm surprised that a Rangers expert like yourself didn't know that brac. |

What is Scott Allan worth?
£225k does seem a bit OTT for a player who flopped in England. |
