What a weekend and what an atmosphere.
The standard of the current Rangers Team (a work in progress) does look about the same as top half of the English Division One. One dimensional, no cutting edge and they definitely need a few players of a higher calibre. Alloa really would struggle in the leagues below Conference standard down here. What hits home is the lack of TV revenue up there and the huge impact on the standard of the game. However, Rangers are back and Mark Warburton will know he needs better players if they are to be serious title challengers next season. |

rangers need 2 reliable central defenders, 2 intelligent midfielders who can make defence splitting passes and 2 strikers who know where the goal is - but where do you find all that within our budget.

The people running that league need to somehow up the TV deal - the money received is farcical. Would love to see Sky subscribers leaving in droves and the English TV Deal driven down by 90%. |

Well as we approach the end of the season, it is time to consider the current state of this thread which started off having a good laugh at the demise of the mighty Glasgow Rangers FC, hijacked by alleged fraudsters assisted by the incompetence of the SFA.
Roll on 4 years and we have the following: 1. Glasgow Rangers FC taking their place in the top flight at the expense of Dundee Utd - the club with the Chairman that tried to kill the Rangers. 2. Newcastle FC being relegated and Spud Ashley seething. 3. Rangers beating Celtic in the Scottish Cup semi final while not in the top flight. 4. Rangers fans filling every ground and spreading the wealth around Scottish football. 5. The Scottish Premier League Clubs including Celtic losing money with the standard of football in that league declineing to unprecedented levels of pony. 6. The people responsible for the alleged fraudulent activities at Rangers FC going to prison soon. 7. Rangers have the best management team in Scotland by a mile, the best fans by a mile and a young team improving by the month. Glasgow Rangers fans are rejoicing all over the world while Septic and the rest of Scottish Football continues to die. Have no fear, the Glasgow Rangers are here to save Scottish Football.
