The Mascara raises a good point. Why can't everyone get a full refund as Betfair make their money on commission so they shouldn't really lose out?
By:
grrrrrowl
When: 10 Dec 13 20:55
the refunds (or not) depend on whether they start from 0 minutes or not surely?

that's what I believe but it needs to be confirmed before they refund the markets or just reopen them

surely in-running first goalscorer bets cant stand?
By:

When: 10 Dec 13 20:59
if they pick up from where they left off, they will just reopen markets.... it's the same as if they went off for half an hour tonight (except with a longer delay obviously). If they replay the whole 90 minutes, then all markets will get voided

When: 10 Dec 13 21:00
Do they really restart the game if it was 0-0?

Soccer
If a match has not started (or if Betfair believes that a match will not have started) by 23:59 (local time) on its scheduled start date, then all bets will be void unless Betfair has knowledge that the match has been rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date.
If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed and Betfair believes that the match will not have been completed by 23:59 (local time) on its scheduled start date, then all markets, with the exception of any unconditionally determined markets, will be void unless Betfair has knowledge that the match has been rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date. If Betfair does have knowledge that the game will be played within three days and the game is played within three days, then all bets will stand except if the match is restarted from the beginning. If the match is restarted from the beginning then all bets matched before the market went in-play will stand, but any bets placed in-play will be void, except for any bets placed in-play on markets which have been unconditionally determined, which will stand.

OFFICIAL UEFA ANNOUNCEMENT

The weather has taken its toll in Istanbul. The fixture between Galatasaray and Juventus has been abandoned after a snow storm caused the pitch to become unplayable. According to article 11.04 of the competition regulations, the remaining match time must be played either tomorrow or on a reserve date or other date set by the UEFA administration.
By:
SSIP
When: 10 Dec 13 21:12
so basically if the match starts tomorrow from 0 minutes all bets made pre in-play will still stand

By:

When: 10 Dec 13 21:51
The rules clearly state as posted above only the remaining match time gets played in CL games. I guess there isn't much precedent for abandoned CL games.

Happens all the time around the world, games re-start from the minute they were abandoned. Only seems to be in England where they start the whole game again

I did 5 matches in fourfolds and trebles. 4 have won...Man Utd, Man City, Olympiakos and Real Madrid. I had Galatasaray as number 5. I would gladly take a void match now!
