Why are they planting a tree at KO?

So if this really is a conspiracy, then why are we all talking about the price on the draw and not looking at backing "any unquoted" and "3-0 Uruguay" which turns over a much tidier sum?

3-0 Uruguay ?? this is the Chile/Ecuador thread inatimate
By:
Why would you be looking at those outcomes in Uruguay?
By:
chile don't look like trying to contrive a draw at the moment

Draw price on a barge..

Chile rampant at the moment

Chile going for the win here!
By:
maybe if its 0-0/1-1 with 20 minutes to go you might see the 2 teams messing about , otherwise Chile look like they're going for the win

1-0 paraguay also

You have to take Chile on the AH if you are going to back them. The threat of settling for the draw is high, not dependent on what is currently happening.

asian , right , got it

Surely if these two teams know ura are winning they will just play out the draw

If Chile are going for the win, why aren't Ecuador going to go for the win? If so, why are they 15.0+
By:
Ecuador don't win away at the best of times
By:
both teams are not playing for the draw. thats for sure

Because, this game has gone crazy with the price of the draw, yes both teams will get through if it finishes that way, but even if there is a result then Uruguay need a big turn around, I don't disagree with it being the most desirable outcome, there have been games where a draw is the perfect result, including Internationals at the big stages, the aforementioned Austria - Germany match, and a 2-2 between Denmark and Sweden spring to mind, but there's no point believing that one game is going to be a set up if the other one isn't going to follow a similar sort of pattern. Just saying that logically, Uruguay and Argentina both "know" that Uruguay need a good margin of victory, the same that Chile and Ecuador "know" a draw is good enough for them. In the same way that this game is likely to end in a "predictable" draw, the other game should be just as likely to finish in a "predictable" decent win for Uruguay, but rather than playing with odds of around evens, the odds are more appealing in the other game.
Yes it's probably the wrong place to post that comment, but I was just trying to offer a bit of an idea for the conspiracy theorists among us that the value rather than lying in a nailed on draw could lie in a much better priced proposition in the other game ![]() |

good free kick ecuador , blimey ,if Ecuador score first then the draw becomes a real possibility

When news comes through Uruguay are winning they would be mad to attack each other
By:
This will be a 2-2 arrangment I reckon - look's less dodgy

If Chile are going for the win, why aren't Ecuador going to go for the win? If so, why are they 15.0+ Because if there's no agreement to play for a draw and they play out a 'normal' game, then Chile are much the better side. Ecuador only qualify because of their home record at altitude, they are usually shocking away. |

1-1 in the Argie game

Ecuador aint playing like 15.0's dogs

1-1 ura

Agreed, but under normal circumstances, Ecuador would be a lot shorter than 15.0, and rightly so.
By:
so if Uruguay don't win their match against Argentina , then a draw in this game won't see both Chile and Ecuador through ? is that right ?
By:
Ecuador have only won 4 away qualifiers since 2001 and 3 of those were v Bolivia

Uruguay need to thump Argentina and hope one of these sides gets thumped to go through.

ok , i got it , whatever happens in the Uruguay / Argentina match , both Chile AND Ecuador will qualify if this match ends a draw

top 4 qualify automatically , 5th place team wins the right to play off against the CONCACAF play off team
By:
Uruguay now need to win 5-1 and Chile lose in order to get 4th place
By:
Pressure is eased greatly by the fact that the 5th place side has a play off against......Jordan.
Tough game! |
By:
Jordan are the Asian qualifier, whoever goes into that will win.
