well you know what to do then.

Both teams playing for a draw and avoiding the risks of attacking. A bit like cashing out.
I for one will be a draw layer in this game. |
By:
There's no way Chile won't go for the win. Their manager Sampaoli (who was in charge of UDC when they were lethal a couple of years ago), only knows one way to play, all out attack.

Ok but what you fail to mention is that uraguay need to beat argentina by more then 3 goals if Ecuador or chile lose. There will be some money to be made on this game for sure.
By:
so most of you are laying the draw to back once a goal is scored?
By:
0-0 is $7.5 ? Draw is $1.80? am I correct?
By:
I'm happy to lay those prices all day long.
Chile only know how to attack, Ecuador are useless away. |
By:
Surely the strategy has to back/trade the draw pre-off as the draw price should come in as the bet turns public. Then hit Ecuador in play? No?

By:
This is logic?
If chile lose and Uruaguay beat argentina by more then 3 goals then chile will play Jordan for a spot in the world cup. Same applies to Ecuador. It doesn't matter who wins Argentina aren't going to be beaten by 3 goals and Jordan couldn't beat either. |

By:
Ecuador's goal difference is 6 better than Uruguay. Even if Chile beat them by a couple, they'd still need a 4 goal Urugay win to be knocked out. Isn't going to happen.
And as Theseguysaregreat says, even if that miracle did happen they'd play Jordan. A side who in qualifying lost 6-0 to Japan, 4-0 to Australia and were also beaten by Iraq and Oman! |
By:
Thats all true but if you have a chance to guarantee yourself a place at the world cup you take it and forget other results, play offs etc.
By:
I think these draw odds are absolute nonsense. Not a massive lay, but a lay all the same.
By:
Exactly, and what better way to guarantee it than by winning your home game against a side who are poor on the road.

I'm not, I'm laughing at your daft logic of ifs, shoulds and "Ohh but Chile attack" as if that means anything in this situation.
By:
Bump last year there was 3 serie b games where the draw was odds on and none ended in draws so im not convinced with your theory.
By:
Are any of you old enough to remember the Austria v Germany draw????
That was the game that led to the final game of all group matches kicking off at the same time! Google it if you are interested. |

I'm not, I'm laughing at your daft logic of ifs, shoulds and "Ohh but Chile attack" as if that means anything in this situation. What's daft about knowing the playing style of the Chile manager and expecting that he will send his side out to win the game. Your logic is, 'a draw will do, so they'll obviously play for a draw'. I'm not sure that's any less daft. |
By:
don't bet until the game has started, then u only need to watch to see if all the players all head towards their own goalmouths and line up along the goaline.then u can back the draw.

By:
..or if the opposing captains head towards the centre circle bearing expensive gifts such as 11 gold watches and 11 sony vaio laptops

If Chile win 3-0, Uruguay would have to beat Argentina by 3+ goals for automatic qualification and that's never going to happen.
I should have done a bit more research before calling it a big fix. The odds are about right. The "value" in the draw has all gone already. Correct score 0-0 and 1-1 will make for a good trade and under 2.5, 3.5 and 4.5 will be backed. |

Argentina infamously rolled over for Uruguay in the last game of qualifying for the 2006 finals in order for Uruguay to pip Colombia to the playoff spot so anyone saying that Uruguay can't possibly get a big enough win the next day might just be proved incorrect......
By:
Just saw the highlights of the game, match was 3-3. Did anyone honestly predict Ecuador were to come back and tie it 3-3, after being down 0-3? Any idea on what the Draw odds were then?
By:
Both teams will just knock the ball about at the back
draw nailed on |
By:
We could be surprised with a high scoring draw. Probably not as much as Colombia v chile on friday
By:
What is going on here any unqouted 5.9 over 2.5 2.74 :D
By:
chile will win, no messing about.
By:
chile smash them

Chileans are fairly serious people. In my opinion out of all of South America the least likely nation to fix a game...

Just read this lot on here....... had a good day today , so what do i do now? Back the draw, Lay it or leave it alone?

That is a very good point. Argentina will be going to Uruguay without Messi etc who's to say they won't lie down again ? I certainly wouldn't put it past them I'm sure the Chile coach and the Ecuador coach are aware of that game too. If they are and they will be then what is there to stop them just saying 0-0 or 1-1 before the match ? Why take any chances when world cup qualification is on the line I'll predict a win for Uruguay and a draw for Chile and Ecuador 11/4 double |
