that was in the fergurson era which is now over
the tide has turned |

If you include home bias into the odds Id be surpised if they were underdogs when they beat UTD 4-1 at Old Trafford.
Liverpool were the best team in the country around that time ![]() |

And add in the fact Liverpool were playing in grey shirts that day, what chance did United have?

This is the Moyes effect and I know the tea ladies help him with the tactics !!! Moyes cant win a big match had one this season at Home to Chelsea.

Chelsea fan gets his first hard-on in years at the thought of United not winning the Premiership.

Liverpool have made a gd start to the season & are tough to beat at home.
Fancy the score draw 2moro myself & would price up the game as 6/4 both teams in my book. |

Agree with Miller; joint favs match imo

I can't believe it's possible to back Man U at 2/1, incredible value

Rogers 'mind games' hinting that Moyes is not up to it
![]() "I think it [Ferguson's retirement] could affect the attitude at United. A manager can affect the attitude of his players," said Rodgers, "Look at the Chelsea game the other night. It was drifting towards a nil-nil and there wasn't really a murmur at Old Trafford. You know at the time Fergie was there he was probably going for the win so the crowd were near enough expecting a goal at the end of the game. Now that is an attitude and a behaviour that he installed over many years because they had success through that. That is something you can achieve as a manager over time. That is the impact you can have. If, as a manager, you can create a hostile environment that will get you results, then that is what you will do." Rodgers claimed he would "always look to get the win" with 20 minutes of a goalless game remaining. |

il be laying manure for sure

By:
1) They are at home
2) That **** Suarez aint there to **** things up 3) Uniteds back 4 are dodgy (allegedly) 4) the refs are always Liverpool biased at Anfield 5) Rooney out injured 6) Liverpool go into the tie on the crest of a wave 7) 0-0 draw for United last time. Now......who do you expect to be favourites? |
By:
Thats all short term stuff
Liverpool 6th-8th-7th United Champions- Runners Up- Champions No way should the odds be 13/8 & 2/1 unless people really think Liverpool are more like 4th best now and/or United will drop about 12 pts just because Moyes has taken over* *this could actually be the case in both respects but there is not much evidence to believe it yet and factor such a turnaround into odds |
By:
far rather lay liverpool against the dross. nearly always play well and dominate at home to the top teams even if they haven't won many recently
By:
If this "attitude" that fergie has installed in the players is true, as it most certainly is, does anyone really think that it evaporates into thin air as quickly as this...hardly.
What about the reverse psychology then, the united players are up for it even more because they want to show precisely that what people are saying about the fergie factor, doesn't disappear with him. |

I had a dream... 2-3...currently 34.0 (which sucks)...bring it on.

Lay the pool ............... easy $

By:
Liverpool ARE rated equal 4th best with Arsenal,
And Tottenham, based on the latter half of last season, but around 12 season points behind ManU, if that is a good assessment, then 13/8 and 2/1 is about right IMO. |

KEN YOURE THE ONLY ONE WHO KNOWS SH** ON HERE

By:
Man U would never be as big as 2/1 away to Spurs/Arsenal
By:
Rommel, you will have to translate
that for me. |

If these match odds prices are deemed correct can't understand why sturridge is 8.2 to score first yet rvp is 6.4. Sturridge looks an epic back to me!
By:
Although L'pool are favourites (marginal)
RVP scores more goals than Sturridge, and is always backed short in this market, why offer the true price for RVP when he can be laid cheaper? |
By:
"Liverpool go into the tie on the crest of a wave"
is that what 2 wins in a row means for lfc these days Des? ![]() |
By:
will be interesting to see the way moyes approaches the game. could see a major odds shift when the teams are declared.
By:
toure must be fully fit imo.
if not those odds will (should change dramatically) |
By:
No Wayne Rooney for todays match.
By:
Pool are a lay at that price. Wouldn't back a Man U win, not convinced by Moyes yet. But pool have had 2 1-0 wins, not hugely convincing. Another draw for me
By:
no bet for me but moyes yet to get an away win at anfield 7 draws and 6 losses
he is in for a tough ride today |
By:
Shankly's anniversary today will give liverpool extra motivation - anyone backing utd today is crazy
By:
decent stat about moyes but no real bearing on the game for me,as for the shankly anni, well they dont need any extra motivation
By:
Rooney out with a "head" injury.
![]() |
By:
thinking to hard about next move after jose said he didn't want him |
By:
Another master stroke by Jose.
By:
we can have all the motivation we want.
if the back line isnt right vulnerability and its knock on effects play a big part.. maybe if we defended deep and stopped crosses coming in we may be able to catch them on the break but we would need a runner and a link player along with coutinio for that to work....so sturridge would have to be at his linking best tough ask because rodgers didnt spot the problem second half v villa |
By:
They now 2.5
By:
They were favourites to beat us last year weren't they? We were bigger than 3.2 too. Liverpool have looked great this season, 2.5 looks a good bet imho.
By:
looked great?not convinced yet
