Last few times we've headed Anfield we've been outplayed, now without Rooney and SAF I see Liverpool winning. 2.5 is a nice price, I got 2.7. They looked great in their first match and had a tussle with Stoke (most do). They're high tempo high pressing moving game will win it for them, I'm fairly sweet on them, GL though Rommel.

4 Wins 1 Draw 1 Loss for Liverpool vs United at Anfield in the last 5 years, fact is that everytime I've seen Pool play against us they've played really good high tempo football, adrenaline has got their pressing game to really high continual levels, and they've ended up more often than not doing the business. No Rooney and no SAF and imho the football they played against Stoke, despite the result, was breath taking at times. 2.7 was a great bet, market makers get obsessed with this 2.2 figure for the home team if they're equals, but bio rhythms and match ups play a massive part in sport which the market rarely takes into calculation. Should be a great match.

Exactly as I expected, Kagawa showed at Dortmund he was a superb player, yet to show it for us, will need to shine today for us to do well.

Thought Valencia would play versus Liverpool, quite confused by that line up.

sorry RMB, never got it from offical site. Kagawa must'nt be fit enough to play, hate Young also.

crazy odds imo

skrtel wont be match fit...him and agger are not a good partnership.
also enrique and johnson wont help.

gerarrd had 120 minutes the other night and normally burns out at the 70 minute mark anyway.

if we press and dont win the ball things are far more likely to go horibly wrong.
there is far more downside score wise on our side yet we are favourites ........just plain f***** nuts

had we had a 100% fit toure at least we would have had a settled back line.

You'd be crazy up backing Pool last 5 years and crazy down backing United.

if your back line isnt right then all that can go out of the window pretty quickly

I expect this game to be slightly more excititng than the Man U/Chelski game, (but only slightly more)because Moyes will play with fear not to lose and Liverpool, have nothing to fear, apart from being defeated by their fiercest rivals. However I am not expecting a really exciting game, as I expect Man U will try and be very tight and solid at the back. A moment of quality may be the difference between the sides (Gerrard Or Van Persie) most likely to provide that. Another draw is likely, possibly 1-1

I can't split them, nor the overs/unders but
at the prices ManU has to be the call at the
current price, 3.45 about a 2.9 chance. or 2.4
DNB as anU would be happy with a draw, if that
way, in the second half.

3.5 on United is bet of the decade.  Liverpool in tatters after midweek game.  United clearly growing in confidence and just as good as they ever were.  I can see this being a humiliation for Liverpool.

2012/13, United won the Premier League BUT

Lost to Spurs   Rooney on subs bench
Lost to Norwich Rooney didn't play
Lost Chelsea (FA Cup) Rooney didn't play
Lost City Rooney substituted 85' Fergie "We were unlucky to lose"
Lost Chelsea Rooney didn't play
Lost to Real Madrid Rooney on subs bench

Hope this helps, because when Rooney is not involved, United lose games.

Yes, that's my starting position.  To be honest, I was expecting about 2.2.  Didn't realise they were 3.5 until I saw this thread.

G1_Jockey_4

when agger and skrtel are in partnership we have a tendency to ship goals consistently

skrtel isnt even match sharp and missed a chunk of pre season as well.

gerarrd tires quicker nowadays and had 120 minutes the other night so our pressing game will probably be affected.

we may well score but your defence is gonna be a lot better than ours and thats the key point.
