Hi Dragon - yes, Colchester's price does seem somewhat wrong in places. Unfortunately I don't get to see my ex-home team often these days but talk on the message boards are that the current team are playing a decent brand of football.
Having said that I had my second largest ever single bet on Colchester about 6 years ago and they drew 0-0... as we know nowt is certain in this game... good luck. |
By:
thanks col, the price does look to be wrong based on the form of the two respective teams, lets hope colchesters form continues on friday evening
thanks for the input |

Me tinks a Friday night League One home double is in order to set the weekend up...

By:
yes wolves look banker material, but i will stick to my main bet of colchester
good luck if you give the double a go |

Team news ahead of Friday night's League One clash between Colchester and Carlisle at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Colchester manager Joe Dunne will assess a number of unnamed players ahead of the visit of out-of-sorts Carlisle. Two members of Dunne's squad are doubtful due to illness while another couple have sustained knocks, although the U's boss is keeping his cards close to his chest regarding their identity. Dunne has kept faith with an unchanged starting XI for Colchester's last two games - a 1-0 home win over Port Vale and last weekend's 1-1 draw at Sheffield United. The Essex club have taken seven points from their first three matches in League One, although Carlisle have endured a disastrous campaign to date, losing all three games and conceding 13 goals in the process. Meanwhile, Carlisle striker Lee Miller is expected to return to the starting line-up following suspension. The Scot was shown a straight red card in the opening-day defeat to Leyton Orient and the Cumbrians have failed to score in their two subsequent league matches. Skipper Paul Thirlwell, who missed last week's 4-0 home defeat to Coventry due to an Achilles injury, could return to help steady the ship following four straight losses that have cast doubts over the future of manager Greg Abbott. Abbott has hinted versatile winger Matty Robson could make his first appearance of the season after being sidelined with a back injury. |

I do not normally use my system until 6 games have been played as this allows enough matches to be played to see reliable form trends.
I have however bashed the numbers into the system for this weekend and have come up with some interesting results which i thought you maybe interested in. Why have you not waited for 6 matches? |
By:
because the teams it produced looked of interest
By:
Waiting 6 weeks is a very sensible MO but some teams stand out instantly from the rest.
By:
indeed zzz i have tailored the size of my bets accordingly
By:
The only thing that concerns me about backing Colchester is...
they are at home to Carlisle who have lost their first 3 games without scoring a goal and conceding 12!!! How many times have we seen teams rise Lazarus like? |
By:
yeszzz but thats football you will always get results that buck the form,
i remember last season some real low priced home teams getting turned over, tottenham by wigan and cardiff by posh are two that come to mind but...... over a season by form based system does some to produce the goodies |
By:
Oh, I see. You wait for 6 games to be played but bet after 3 games
when something 'of interest' pops up OK |
By:
It shouldn't even 6 games, probably 16
IMO. |
By:
Ken do you get paid for stalking the Dragon or do you just do it out of love?
By:
No Zing I don't get anything from giving
an honest opinion. I hope you have the good sense not back his picks. |
By:
I enjoy looking at many people's tips but only ever back my own judgement.
As should everyone. |
By:
Quite correct.
By:
kenilworth is just making a fool of himself as usual some things will never change , he just picks holes in whatever i post, i have learnt to ignore what he says its the best way to deal with such people
By:
Just be honest and no one will bother you.
If you don't, then it will be drawn to your attention. You enjoy praise but resent criticism. Grow up. |
By:
if u dont like the thread then stay off it
By:
poorpup, I don't like people telling lies,
do you? |
By:
colchester are into 1.79 so if you took the 1.82 you are in green up territory
By:
A whole tub of watercress
By:
1.01 landed. Kenilworth pops up to rubbish someone's opinion.
By:
he will do this throughout the season jed![]() |
By:
I wouldn't mind if he wasn't so absolutely clueless himself.
You can bet your bottom dollar that he will be on, slating methodology and opinion, whenever someone sticks their head above the parapet. And as soon as someone dares to suggest that AN Other Racing Post tipseter might be less than perfect in every way, supernap will be on to defend them. Boring, annoying, and predictable. |
By:
Double on... Colchester @ 4/5 and Wolves @ 7/10...
By:
Good luck Dragon , the cynic in me and I can be Paranoid at most times says that the price is too good for Colchester , amazing how often bookies get these things right , but will go with you as on all known form and thats all we can go on surely Colchester stand out.
As I said very best of luck , will you be doing a running P/L for both types of bets to see how your doing? |
By:
thanks priest,
yes i know what you mean especially after only 3 games but hey i reckon its worth a punt. the bigger bets will come later yes i will be doing a running P&L ,roi and SR for all the tips i post Good luck to us all then |
