OP, as someone who watches Scottish football regularly I can assure you there is very little between 2nd and 11th, certainly not one or two leagues difference as you suggest

You are aware that Stockport are in the Conference North? That's the SIXTH tier of English football. Not sure St Mirren nicking a 1-0 win proves anything for Scottish football.

Inverness result was a surprise but Charlton did beat St Mirren 4-0 a couple of weeks before that.
