Why must they suspend for 8 secs? There is an 8 sec delay for submittig stakes and are stakes not cleared after a goal unless you have pressed "keep in play"?

I certainly think they should keep the suspend on for a minimum fixed time after a goal, e.g. 15 secs or something, to prevent "accidents" e.g. seeing slightly old odds and betting on them.

Well if it IS that there was a goal and they unsuspended too quickly then yes it's very VERY annoying, it's happened to me and I've complained about it before on here. If you're not actively watching the match, you can place a bet on say 1-0 and it's already 2-0 but because betfair did some ****ing stupid really short off/on suspend then you end up matching a whole lot of useless 1000-1, because you never seen the suspend and odds hadn't updated.

It's a VERY bad idea for betfair to do this unless they want to drive away customers from betting inplay.

I bet on correct score and it has happened to me  that i have a bet to back when i click the bet is exactly 1 second or less after the goal but the market refreshes inmediately and i make a back bet on a selection that is already not possible. I can not see the goal and not make the bet because the streams is  delayed so i notice the goal late.

So i say the should have at least a market suspension equal to the bet delay.
