The hints about experiencing 'other leagues and other cultures' are coming almost as thick and fast as the yellow cards for simulation.

But while Gareth Bale appears to have developed a penchant for all things continental, he is certainly giving referees plenty to think about every time he goes to ground, has the time really come for the Welsh wing wizard to be considered as the hottest commodity in the European transfer market?

Former Spurs team-mate, Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric, certainly feels Bale would not be out of place gracing the hallowed turf of the Bernabeu with the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo for company.

Cristiano Ronaldo himself states Bale is one of the best players in the world already "Of course" says Ronaldo "I watch him and he's one of the only players who can excite me."
"Ronaldo on the right and Bale on the left, a mouth-watering prospect that might even convince Jose Mourinho to hang around in La Liga for one more season.

Comparisons between Ronaldo and Bale are becoming increasingly easy to draw, and not just because the controversy regarding the latter's susceptibility to hit the deck under the slightest contact, or sometimes no contact at all, is starting to bear a striking resemblance to his Portuguese counterpart's interpretation of what constitutes a foul.

QPR manager and Bale's ex-boss at White Hart Lane, Harry Redknapp, set the ball rolling when it came to comparing his former charge to the current giants of world football.

'He's an amazing talent and he's after the Ronaldos and Messis of this world and he's getting better and better,' said Redknapp recently.

'He's almost unplayable when he's on his game. He is a genuine world-class player. There's nobody he couldn't play for. He'd improve any team.'

Perhaps Ronaldo just fancies Bale Wink

There is a slight difference between not rating someone and saying he's the 3rd best player in the world.

sky punditry is basically a bullsh!t bidding war.

no one in the epl is on a level with those two. RVP is probably closest.

Who is disputing that Bale could play at Barca?

Walcott I doubt could to be honest but Bale certainly.

Gooners chirping up about Walcott Laugh. If you offered every manager in the world the choice, I doubt you'd find a sane one who'd take Walcott! Teams alter their whole setup to try and deal with bale, even Utd did this at the lane.

We'll keep bale and you can have Walcott, thanks!

Walcott, rVP ,Rooney ,Bale ,Suarez ...all pretty decent quality and would fit nicely at the top in Spain .

Don't think the likes of Higuain and Kaka are that special  ..that mob rely to too heavily on 2 players

This is the thing, RVP is an out and out goalscorer who can do nothing for 85 minutes yet bag his team two goals. Ronaldo and Messi are directly compared because of who they play for, how they can totally control games as well as the huge amount of goals they score.
Bale is not in their class but he's in the group behind them and is still young enough to improve, it's unfortunate for him, from a footballing perspective, that he's Welsh.

another player i think has tons of potential is Tarrabt at QPR ..needs to lose a few stone in weight though  Grin

Bale is a class player but gets overhyped because of the love affair with him

Where on earth is this Walcott chat coming from?

He is rapidly improving but he is not as good a player as Gareth Bale.

if you saying van persie doing nothing for 85 minutes you dont know nothing, van persie creating most of dangerous plays on the attacking end, hes very quick with the ball one of the quickest of them all, have great delivery and superb free kicks also technically is there with  ronaldos and messis ,have great view of the game overall very smart player, superb touch .he is very creative overall dont know how people cant see that ,just because he is not running like idiot all the time, he is like berbatov but with much higher standards and overall great in all departments

im laughing people comparing him to suarez who is great player with own style but not that effective, and miles away from persie,

barca and madrid are coached to get the best out of messi and ronny, barca play down the middle tip ,tappy 1,2s
spurs give bale all the time and if he loses 50% of possesion it is overshadowed by his quality stuff, and the 2 top spanish clubs he,d be like a little kid in the park hoping the big boys will give him a kick
