If a player was standing all on his own in the six yard box with the ball coming towards him but a defender rushed in and took him out before the ball got there it would be a red card

You're claiming it can't be a red if he didn't have the ball.

I have just described a situation where a player would be sent off even if the attacker didn't receive the ball.

By saying but that didnt happen did it... jesus you are implying that you agree my hypothetical situation would be a red.

Therefore, arguing that it was never a red in this game because Dzeko didn't have the ball is illogical.

The amount of delusion on this thread from Arsenal fans / Arsenal backers is incredible. In danger of demonstrating more delusion than Liverpool forumites.

no im saying its use of common sense mate, if he cant reach the ball even if he is not tackled how is it a goal scoring op?
