You wouldn't be saying that if it stayed 1-0. However, the bad form is not reopening the market.

Of course I would. I would have  had far better odds at 63 minutes for  over 3.5 whether or not my bet comes up or not isnt the point, it should have all been voided.

So what happens with my under 3.5 back that I made at 1.01 a t 83 minutes last night?

Why should it be voided? It's in the T&Cs. However, they should have reopened the market.

Only 1 minute added.

you have no case, if a feed is lost in any other match and markets remained suspended til FT no bets would be void so what makes you think this is any different?
By:

2-2 FT

I agree with Rob. I know its in the T&C's and we have to accept it but what really bugged me was the fact that Flashcore and Bet 365 suspended this market as soon as play was interrupted.. Betfair didnt

As harsh as it will sound, it's probably your own fault for trying to 'buy' money.

1-0 to 2-2 in the last 10 mins. ouch.
By:
ItsEssexRob
When: 01 Nov 12 13:34
How the hell can any of that be 'my' fault? I placed  a bet at 83 minutes using odds that are right for 83 minutes, its betfairs fault they didnt suspend the game at the correct time and its betfairs fault the game wasnt open today.

As harsh as it can sound, you have unfortunately no case.

No I backed under 3.5 goals.

It doesnt matter whether my bet was buying money or seemingly stupid, its not right. If they dont void the bets I will take it further.

But they are covered in their T&Cs for this. You placed a blind bet on a game thinking that 83 minutes had passed, when they hadn't. So yes you can blame betfair, but they could equally blame you for not checking how long had been played.
Either way i think you need to ring them.
By:
ItsEssexRob
When: 01 Nov 12 13:51
I rang them and they said for me to put it in black and white, I had emailed them yesterday and am emailing them again. If they refuse I shall withdraw all my funds and never use the site again.

I understand they may in some way be covered, but it is still grossly unfair and bad practise. If they had any decency they would see it was a fault of their own and correct it.

Its not a massive amoount but thats not the point. I feel totally cheated out of it, whether its 100 pound or 2 pound. I dont mind losing, its part and parcel of betting, but I expect betFAIR to be fair, and take some responsiblity  for their two mistakes.

Void bets why?

By:
teo813
When: 01 Nov 12 14:04
because he lost,

surely they should void all our losing bets? Confused
By:
ItsEssexRob
When: 01 Nov 12 14:04
Because the game said 83 minutes.  The odds for under 3.5 were 1.01 and consistant with that timeframe. technically anyone who laid it at 1.02 at that point could have cheated if they knew the game wasnt really going on and made a killing with 0 risk by backing it off as soon as the game  restarted. If a bets result is perverted by outside influences, say if Betfair didnt suspend it straight away the bets should be voided.
By:
ItsEssexRob
When: 01 Nov 12 14:05
I actually emailed them and asked for it to be voided yesterday, I would want it to be voided even if I hadve won because I wouldnt want to bet knowing there were ridiculous influences like that affecting my betting I would rather know that Betfair mistakes would result in voided bets.

They cant its in the rules, plus if they refund you they'd have to refund everyone everytime a live feed goes down...it wont happen, sorry.

Ill wait and see. if they dont they are going to lose 4 customers.
