how far will betfair go with this?what if no oen has won (a real possibility) by end of season? will the pot go to the nearest etc?

Tony - I'm thinking I might cap it at £500 (provided no-one wins before then), and then that week the cash will go to the nearest if no-one gets the lot. Then, we'll start again at £100 and let it build up, but I might reduce the number of games.

the very first week 2 people got 7 right but not sure how close anyone has been since then

We've had 7 out of 8 two or three times - like I say, if we get to £500, I'll probably go to the nearest entry that week and then start again at £100, rolling over and adding £50 each week, but perhaps with less games.

Hi bcm2, i think that a better idea is once you get to £500 then start reducing the number of games each week so at £550 use 7 games £600 use 6 games and so on but an excellent competition whatever you decide

not a bad idea uptheboro although if it goes down to 5 or 6 we could finish up with hundreds of winners.
could just try it with 7 teams (or stick to 8) to give it a run out till you see how it goes longer term although maybe just stick to UK games in future. it's not supposed to be easy. |

Uptheboro - I'm trying to get one winner who gets a nice lump of money, and what you suggest might (as Outpost points out) end up with several people all getting it right, and then the winner scooping the pot on a tie-break. I think, if we get to £500, that week we'll go to the most right to decide it - after that, will drop to 7 games and make them a tad easier.
