No chance of top 4 imho. 6th at best for me right now.
By:
I predict plenty of possession and plenty of draws for Liverpool and 6-8th as a finishing position.

![]() I am alone in thinking Liverpool will do well this season? |
By:
mr eboue thought you mite be going to corals and take the 8t15 arsenal to finish above liverpool match bet
By:
8/15 Looks a bit stingy to me DR.
By:
Maybe if RVP stays that could look a good bet.
Big IF though. |
By:
i think their best 11 is pretty good, if they can add 1 more attacking player even better. The problem is whats behind that, last season they hardly had Gerrard fit and also missed Suarez due to his ban for 8 games, they had the injury to Lucas too and the replacements weren't good enough. If they get luckier with injuries and can get their best 11 on the pitch most weeks i think they'll do better than last season.
By:
make them one of the best bets ive seen in a long while
By:
thats arsenal
By:
Remember how reliant we were on RVP.
Without him we'd have finished about tenth. |
By:
Liverpool doing well, lol.
By:
think you will still buy a couple of players, liverpool are going for cheap buys
By:
Joe Allen is 15m thats not cheap!
By:
Liverpool are still trying to offset the Andy C transfer fiasco. Which is why they are trying to pull our pants down over the Daniel Agger/Adam Johnson loan deal. I'd rather we didn't even enter into anything with them than end up on the wrong of it.
By:
not a stand out buy is it think you were 18pts in front of them last year and you ad a bad season
By:
I am alone in thinking Liverpool will do well this season?
With Lucas Leiva returning and Joe Allen on the way finally, the jigsaw has been filled and all Liverpool fans are expecting Premier League glory So no, you are not alone ![]() |
By:
one good thing going for them is BR,will the board/senior players give him time is the question
By:
It's the start of the season so plenty of 'experts' will tipping Liverpool to go well, as they do every season.
They'll do well to finish in the top 10 this season. |
By:
Liverpool are always better than Brazil before the season starts.
By:
They'll do well to finish in the top 10 this season.
Sharp minds ![]() |
By:
Keeping Agger is a must I should have said.
By:
Absolute must Mr E. Dylan is spot on IMO. Keep our first XI fit did I think we will surprise a few. But we have very little depth in terms of our front 6. Pretty good for cover at the back, but not where it matters most.
Every year there are 'this is our year' gags, despite the fact the isn't a Liverpool fan alive who wouldn't be delighted with fourth. |
By:
Depends how you define 'well'.
No real chance of a top 4 finish as United, City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and even Newcastle are stronger but I think top 6 would be a decent season. Be interesting to see how quickly fans get on Brendan's back if they make a poor start but if he can replicate the football Swansea played last season they'll be a force to be reckoned with. |
By:
Not sure Newcastle are a better team than Liverpool.
By:
Statistically Liverpool should have a far better table finish this season than last, but only a top 4 finish would be good enough for the fans, me included.
By:
You have to laugh at some of the loons on here.Newcastle finish in front of Liverpool for one season and suddenly they're a "better team"
![]() I think Liverpool will have a right old go at Arsenal and Spurs for that 4th spot but I think that's about the best we can hope for this season. |
By:
6th/7th is about where they in the pecking order in terms of ability....6th/7th is where they will finish
By:
problem was KK made some terrible mistakes after the 6 months when we were playing well.
last summer was a nightmare in terms of signings...none worked imo and the one who is nailed on to work barely got agame. for terms of this season you cant use last season as a yardstick well you can but your likely to come unstuck imo ![]() |
By:
That maybe so,findthevalue, but the two games I saw Liverpool play against Arsenal last season and Liverpool were the vastly superior team.
We shall see. |
By:
G1. He barely got a game because the team would be worse with him in, rather than Agger and Skrtel, who are clearly a great partnership.
By:
How well we do next season will be determined by the manager. I know it was only a mickey mouse side we beat on Thursday night, but what really impressed me was how well Gerrard, Suarez, & Borini seemed to gel on the night. Their workrate in closing down the opposition defenders was good to see. & it's nice that they've already taken on board some of Rodgers philosophy regarding working hard to win the ball back. The likes of Lucas & Allen cover the ground very quickly in midfield, so whatever happens, I think teams will find it very difficult to play against us next season.
By:
behave ccm
with a run of games he will be immense. agger and skrtel were not upto much tgether in a reserve game i remember seeing.....it took time |
By:
I am alone in thinking Liverpool will do well this season?
no you are not the only one. but it soesnt mean u are right. |
By:
You're the one who needs to behave G1. Talking up a promising youngster you've barely seen play as the greatest defender ever to wear the shirt.
By:
Sexual tension, imo.

i trust my judgement
take lucas a few years ago ![]() i dnt trust yours.....remember 1st sunday of october last year ![]() |

By:
liverpool will re-take their rightful place in the Top 4 this season
By:
i think we will go closer....3rd maybe second
By:
Pick the one player you (and I) rated early doors contrary to popular opinion as proof you are some kind of super scout...... and conveniently forget about the others you've got wrong. I suppose you won't be mentioning your assessment of the likes of Aquilani who you said was going to be a great? Or was it that he just never got the chance?
I'm not saying Coates won't be a top player. I like what I've seen of him. but to suggest he is currently better than Agger (for whom he would be the natural replacement IMO) is just ridiculous. |
