Could it be something to do with his Chelsea payoff? Making sure this isn't affected by denying all links until the date passes when he is Ok?

A bet was was matched for 6000 plus at 1.6. You can see from the graph. Hopefully someone is profit taking.

if he goes to spurs the end is near, has no man management skills whatsoever(not even with the younger brigade),saying that he might have learnt how to talk to people after his spell at chelsea.Like the way  he wants to play the game, but the players now rule the roost

sj, what price will you give me in a match bet this season, Spurs to finish about Chelsea?

I don't think he will have the same problem trying to convince the Spurs players of the merits of his tactical approach. At Chelsea, they had won just about everything playing in a diametrically opposed system to his, whereas, for all their current squad's undoubted promise, Spurs have won precisely feck all since almost the beginning of time.

I also reckon the Spurs squad is more suited to his tactics than Chelsea's was.

Time will tell, I guess.

i would make it 5/6 each of two as i dont think robbie will get it right straight away,we are looking to change so i would go to the bookies for better odds if i was looking to make your mob.

What i will say is we will go further in the CL

think you are right about his style but he really must brush up on his man management skills,as said even with the younger lads.

Cant see Spurs finishing in the top 4 next season, whoever is manager.  And certainly not with AVB imo.  Last season was as good it gets for the foreseeable future.

I seem to remember people saying before last season that Spurs had had their day. When will people begin to realise that this Tottenham squad is actually very good, and that a top four finish is the very least they should achieve?

tucky, they've finished 4,5,4 in the last threee seasons, but now they're phucked

Last seasons Spurs squad was very good, but you appear to be forgetting that this seasons Spurs squad is likely to be minus Adebayor and Modric.

Good first 11 and 15/16 players, but you need a bigger squad to sustain it.  Not enough options in the front and wide areas to cover for injury, form and suspensions.

Spurs are early 3s to finish in the top 4.  I'd lay that.

Adebayor?
By:

That's not meant to sound as an attack on your club.  Just my opinion as an impartial observer.  Spurs are great to watch and hope they do well.  Just can't see it unless you make 4/5 top quality signings.
By:

When: 28 Jun 12 09:43
Jury out on AVB for me but most of the forum could manage the Spurs squad to top 4, Redknapp did it working part time, he's won 1 trophy in 30 years, Jol nearly did it too.

If Mourinho managed this squad they'd be joint favs to win the league

Exactly blackburn.

Adebayor is a non-trier of the first order, and massively over-rated. Spurs would have finished higher if his starts had been dished out between Pavlyuchenko and Defoe, and he had stayed in the stand at the Etihad.

Modric is a decent player, but only an idiot would contend that he is some sort of world-beater.

We will miss Modric more than Adebayor, but neither of them is irreplaceable.

Adebayor?

What exactly are you asking?
By:

He's asking, as a man who probably watched every game Spurs played last season, why anyone would think Spurs would be a worse team without Adebayor.

Old story, and the odds tell you it's nonsense

Adebayor is a useful player desperate to stay at Spurs, if he does it will be for a massive pay cut. Theres about 50000 blokes in the country who could chuck a ball to Adebayor, VDV, Bale, Modric, Walker, Sandro, Lennon etc etc and expect them to finish top 4 minimum. Its an endictment of Redknapp that he almost managed to phuck it up, they finished 4th despite bigmouth.
By:
Biscuit1979
When: 28 Jun 12 09:51
He got 17 goals last season, was the leagues 4th top scorer.

I'm not saying they're world beaters but i'd have thought it was fairly obvious that Spurs would be weakened by him and Modric not being there.

As for whether you'll be a worse team, who knows, depends who you sign obviously. I agree with most though, 4th last season is as good as it gets for Spurs.

He got 17 League goals? Big deal. How many did Defoe score? And in how many minutes on the pitch compared to Adebayor?
By:

When: 28 Jun 12 09:56
And how many penalties?

Ade did a good job, if he comes back it'll be on Spurs terms

I'm going solely by what I see on the TV, so as a Spurs fan you'll know way better than me, but just about every time I see Modric play he's immense.  Why is it that you don't consider him as one of the top midfielders in the game?
By:
berto77
When: 28 Jun 12 10:00
Modric is the kind of player who is most appreciated when he's gone.  As other top clubs have found, notably Liverpool and Man United.

Should score more goals though.
