Liverpool would have been a massive step up for Roberto Martinez so why did he turn it down?
Could it be he just didn't think the present squad was capable of playing football the way he wants it played?

Think you are right Biscuit. Turned down Villa, you can kind of understand. But turning down two "bigger" clubs in consecutive years does smack of "I'm happy out of the spotlight and without any real pressure from fans".

he turned it down because he would not have been given full control of football matters... kinda like sitting on the sideline watching the team roman picked 10 mins before the game...

martinez want an offer from outside the uk..thing is he isnt anything specialhe thinks hes going to do something amazing with a small club...but in reality all hes gonna do is fade his carreer
