yeah, lazy feckers, coming over here working sh!tty jobs the local chavs wouldn't touch for 10 hours a day...

no, wait.

The immigrants who come in and do the sh!tty jobs are totally unneccesary.

All any government has ever had to do is force the chavs and layabouts into seeing work as neccessary and not an option. By that I mean make life on the scroung untolerable/close to impossible.

We should be more like the Australians pick the skilled people we want (Dr's etc) and kick the rest to the curb.

I'm sorry i don't believe 100% of the 2Million+ Unemployed people in this country are lazy scrotes.

The Poles work minimum wage.. but they offset whatever tax they pay, with the low-income benefits. the council housing..

It's also proven they take 2Billion out of our economy because they send their money home!!

Guarantee there's a Polish shop near you.. they're xenophobic about other cultures, they cannot integrate into Britain unless they have their precious shop to buy that **** sausage they eat

Australia isnt in the European Union though
The UK is and has obligations accordingly.
And leaving Europe is not an option for a myriad of reasons from political to economic

The reason it seems like a one way system is most English people dont bother learning a second language, where as the rest of Europe learns English, thus giving them the option of working in multiple countries.
The European Union allows Freedom of movement for workers we only appear to lose out because our young people are incapable of going and working in france / germany.
If people from the UK go abroad to work, its usually to English speaking countris, USA, Canada, Australia, and as they arent in the EU, its less open.

If we bothered more with languages we could export more workers all across Europe. But we are English, and arrogant, and too lazy to bother.

Incidentally unemployment in Spain for 18-24yr olds is around 50%
Which is horrific
Its about 20% here
And around 8% in Scandinavian countries

May i introduce you all to http://www.mojawyspa.co.uk/forum

The premier Polish Community UK forum.

Using the Google Translate.. I've found thousands and thousands of posts from people in Poland, asking questions about their up and comming move to the UK and how to get benefits ASAP.

One interesting trick i've learned.. is you can phone up the job centre, lie and say you're a self-employed cleaner to get a National Insurance Number. Then the world is your oyster, as a FOREIGN Eu national.

I find it bizarre that people dont understand the concept of the European Union, and freedom of work movement. Especially if they are a football fan.

There are 27 countries in the European Union, some with higher unemployment than us, some with lower, people are free to seek work, even part time in any of these countries. So if Polish people or Bulgarian or Greek, or Dutch or whoever, can get the offer of a job in the uk, even part time, then legally they can move here, likewise anyone here can get a job in one of those countries and move there, and take their family too.

Granted we dont export footballers, becuase they are also generally too stupid to learn another language, yet you get someone like, Dietmar Hamman, and he can speak 5 languages.

I'm not advocating learning more languages by the way, after all the language of business is generally English. I just think people need to understand the reasoning.

I guess we could isolate ourselves and remove ourselves from the European Union, but I think that might prove unwise.

Pootle - Re: being more like Australia

I accept what your are saying with regards to people from the EU... But what about the rest of the world??? I think it's fair to say that we needn't accept large ammounts of unskilled Africans and Asians.

In truth my comments about being Australia were more wishful thinking then anything else, even if we had the option to do so I doubt our politicians would have the b0110cks

As far the English not learning other languages goes, at worst it is our loss and we are not hurting others by doing so.

As far as Unemployment statistics go, do you trust them??? They definition of what is "unemployed" has and will be adjusted. Add into it all the 18-24 yr olds at the holding pen that is now Uni and it's probably more than 20%.

Pootle in theory that is fine.. however theres a huge gulf in wealth between the east and west.

UK, France and Germany.. all together wouldn't see much migration..

Open the border to those third-world shitholes like Poland and Romania.. we will obviously have a HUGE influx seeking money and NHS.

Certain naive brits with hippy views are the downfall of this country not the immigrants..

Yes 2+ Million unemplyed are all lazy scrotes who don't want to work.

yes 1,000,000+ EU Immigrants, aint claiming a thing here, all hard working, and spend all their money i the UK

PlainPlainPlain

Btw that 1,000,000 figure is rather a Conservative guess

Does anybody believe figures the Government hand out?

Take for example the last cencus.
Do you really think immigrants filled in their cencus forms
They aren't daft enough to admit there is 14 people living in the house.

I would safely say the true population of the U.K. is 20 million more than the Govt.say.(about 80 million),but they could never admit that cos then the true amount of immigration would be known.

Go anywhere in this country now and you are surrounded by foreign nationals from all corners of the world.

There is no immigration policy.

Britain opened its borders to the eastern European states under Brown, most of the EU didn't.
Brown was an absolute disaster for this country for this and other things he did.
He should be in prison for the damage he has done.

At the start of open borders you got the hard working eastern europeans coming in.No problem with them.

However they have long been overtaken by the criminal and lazy eastern europeans who are only here to scam off society.

This,to an extent is the same for immigrants from the rest of the world.

You tell me which other country i can go to,turn up at the council, get a house, benefits free education, health care etc etc.and not have paid a penny into the state.

The problem is not with the open eu borders then, its obviously with the way the welfare system works, stop knocking the people and knock the chickensh it politicians who should get their fingers out and make it harder to claim not just for the Poles but for all and get people back to woek problem is they havent the balls or any ideas how to do it,

I dont think we accept large amounts of unskilled Africans or Asians, honestly I dont. But without official numbers I couldnt say.

But honestly, people need to get away from the diea that benefits are the problem.

Tax evasion, by the national fraud authorities own statistics costs 15 times more per year, than benefit fraud or cheating.

The problem is not too many people scrounging benefits, thats a myth. The problem is too many large companies and wealthy people dodging tax. Did you see the statistics last week that 'surprised' our own chancellor, this is the man employed to sort the budgets who was surprised to learn of the level of tax dodging in the country by the richest.

Then you have companies who route money through head quarters in the cayman islands to avoid tax, its also a well known tax dodge route for footballers btw, any of them who are clued up, pay less tax than you or I do percentage wise.
Or take Sir Phillip Green, he is a SIR, a knight of the realm, and he routes his money from top shop to his wife in monaco. I think it was around 2005, he avoided paying 280million in tax that year by paying her a dividend in excess of 1billion.

Tax avoidance by companies and individuals costs in excess of 20 BILLION per year.

"Chancellor George Osborne says he is "shocked" that some of the UK's richest people have organised their finances so that they pay virtually no income tax."
This is the **** in charge of the countries money !

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-17661011

Point being, the benefit system either through fraud or having people coming into the country, is not the big problem, thats just a magician saying look at my left hand, whilst his right hand fixes the cards.

As for the languages, my point on that, was why we dont export many workers across europe when we could / can. Yup we shoot ourselves in the foot, but its our fault.

As for unemployment stats, I agree they can be woolly, but provided they are emasured roughly the same between countries they can be compared.

What we need is companies in this country to pay more tax, to accept that their profits cant be sustained and they have to take less profit. Most of us have taken pay cuts in recent years, in that prices have gone up more than wages, but banks, oil companies, tescos, bt, virgin, etc etc, are all keeping profits almost as high as ever.
They need to accept a drop in profit
They need to pay more tax
And they need to employ more people

but they arent
we bailed out the banks and they are laughing at us
the big companies havent felt any financial squeeze
the rich havent
the rest of us have
and the companies, and certain media, and certain people will try and misguide you, and blame other people, because thats what they do.

I'm not saying its a big conspiracy, its just about being aware of things.
Yup benefit fraud costing us 2billion is bad
Tax dodging costing 30billion is worse
And if you think about it, which is worse
the guy claiming 65 quid a week who should
the woman cheating the system for an extra 30 quid a week
the foreign family of 5 claiming 100 quid a week
or
the premiership footballer earning 60k per week but paying 15% tax per year
or the company turning over billions a year but paying no tax on profits
or the bankers getting bailed out by us, but paying themselves untaxable bonuses

who is worse
and more the point
who do we benefit from most if we close the loop hole, better to go after those costing the economy 30billion, than those costing it 2billion
