Won't happen though, Big phamecutical companies are quite content with selling drugs to deal with symptoms. Prevention is entirely contrary to profit margins, and after all, they own the politicians.

As it is about 100 oap`s get diagnosed with cancer for every young sportsman so your alarmism is way, way of the mark.

Unfortunately "super fit" does not mean healthy. The intense physical and mental pressure associated with top class sport actually often weakens the immune system.

You could do something a lot more usefull than posting on here if you feel strongly, give a blood sample to Anthony Nolan with a view to becoming a donor if needed.

All the best to Stan - thankfully Leukaemia has a relatively decent prognosis these days but it does require lots of treatment
