same here million, often id put 500 in account, somehow managed to get up to 8 or 900 , then dont know why but just went to ****, end up back to zero, play till it was gone , not now , having instant games on sports account is a evil trap to con you out of your sports winnings in my opinion.
By:
and ive been here on betfair for a year or two now and there are lots of others with same experiencess, we are not alone, thats for sure.
By:
yeh i am starting from scratch again---but really enjoying my sports betting again-without the fear of pushing that button ever again
By:
because of instant games im barred from centrebet for life, told them one day after another session on instant games to can my account, kinda sad but fact is they dont mix with sport, in real life you dont go to casino to watch sport or go to sport to play slots etc, they are different types of things but no good on same account.
By:
just at prersent im only betting 5 or 10 bucks on here , just for fun, you can have just as much fun aye and if you lose well , its not gunna stuff up ya bank account or your life for that matter.

in many ways milion online gambling is no different to other online things, like porn or gaming or file sharing,[whih i dont do ]facebook etc , you can get addicted , ive always enjoyed a bet on the horses and sport but last 2 and a half years ive given online gambling sites a thrashing, you simply have to face facts , come to ones senses, it cant go on forever aye, you cant worry about the past , its gone , only worry about the future, if you lose in the past what makes one believe it will be any different this time next year.

yeh i am starting from scratch again---but really enjoying my sports betting again-without the fear of pushing that button ever again If you've already lost 43k, what makes you think you'll fare any better starting from scratch? What is your bankroll this time round? |
By:
funny i use that 365 site all the time-especially for football--u r right its water under the bridge mate
By:
so million im 47 , how old are you , just curious.
By:
just a grand mate---but totally dif values betting on sport and not hypnotised by those machines--i prob wont ever be on top again but all my big wins in past have been multiples with small stakes--so i have to hav hope in my heart
By:
i am 54-----=-going on 21
By:
multiples can get you good wins but my theory is that for every punter who spends 10 bucks and wins two thousand there is probably 5 thousand who spend 10 bucks and get nought, plain fact, in reality when it comes to gambling addiction if the ones with the biggest problem are the ones who try to or do make a living from it, after all its supposed to be a bit of fun only anyway.

file sharing,[whih i dont do ]
You are wiser than me. I threw away all my CD`s thinking Bit Torrent would replace em and more. Didn`t know that all the Internet Providers share your data with Sony`s lawyers. Paid a grand to make it go away. Never again. Would love my old CD`s back... |

i got anothe offer from a casino in my mail. 25 bucks free , probably got to spend fifty grand to claim it lol

I could write a book on the stories I have on these machines.
I used to work for Ladbrokes until fairly recently, and some of the sights you'd see on a daily basis were unbelieveable. Some of the guys I had personally worked with, infact even a small number of female employees too, were awful gambling addicts on these machines, much worse than horses, dogs, football etc. They'd leave the shop at their break and head across the road to Hills, Coral, PP or whatever was there and waste a shitload of money, and the employees there came over to us and done the same. A few guys I know even ended up excluding themselves. A good friend of mine, who is still with the company once walked into the local Hills with 150 quid cash in his pocket spent it all on the roulette machine within 20 minutes and walked back into our shop like it was a joke. The big wins seem to hook people in as previously mentioned. Said person also took out 1100 quid from a machine after only staking around 40 quid, its no wonder people spend shitloads on this, but of course hes well down on them overall. My stand out memory from the roulette machines however would be a regular punter, who at first would put 1 or 2 quid in the machines, it went up and up, until he was doing 100 quid a spin on red or black, claiming he had a system. He wasn't a horse punter, he couldn't tell you a thing about football or golf or whatever either. At one point he was down 10 grand on the machines, and almost got it all back, he got back to around only 1200 quid down, infact on his best day where he won around £4500 in profit, we had the Ladbrokes regional machines manager on the phone asking where he got the money from, who he was, what he worked as etc etc. Then on the day of last years grand national, he was in the shop from 11am till about 6, leaving only once for a cigarette, and he blew over 7 grand. Needless to say, Ladbrokes hierarchy weren't giving a **** where he got the money from when he was losing a fortune. Funny that eh..? As it happened by the way, he was getting the money through dealing drugs, but I feel sorry for the decent people who get sucked in by this. High Streets are becoming a mini vegas too, bookies open to half 9, 10pm on a Sunday night because of these, ridiculous. |
By:
in that offer it says if im the master of the slots this is the place for me lol.
By:
id say onlie sites ar worse, you dont need to go out, saving fuel cost lol and with ya card close by you got all ya need to make a fortune.................for the bookies or betting sites lol.

its kind of sad really that so many sporting clubs survive on two things, booze and gambling profits , take that away and they are goneburgers , fact.
By:
it is scandalous--i know i sond like the mug of all time--but i do have a really good brain and good at sports betting--but when i got on that machine i was a completely dif person--horrible no sense nothing just a total p---k i hated myself for playing them but just couldnt stop
By:
million id say id give ya 43 k a decent shake, i was the same , it happens , it hasnt killed but its important to see sence, have control , its all about the learning process, one thing i will sy though is if you e mail any of the online sites wanting a break etc they will suspend your accout straight away, they aint forcing you to play, they set the trap and you and me and others walk into it.
By:
if my spellings off cue its very late here , i need to recharge the mind but will be back sometime, good thread this one and as i say before , it shows we are no different to others really.

By:
yeh we hate them machines--but we all LOVE our football
By:
Do not touch them machines, you can make a packet load, but you can lose a packet load like that! Least with footy bets sepcially on betfair you have a way out, or way to make a profit either way if a bet is going strong for you. Only thing i do in bookies is the goal galore in betfred ocassionally with small stakes.
By:
yeh betfred even changed all their odds on that since last year
By:
so many free bets and demonstrations and bet for fun on the machines given to once a year grand national punters in local shop saturday--

Jokes aside, please never touch them again fella. You will and have got through this.
By:
not on the machines-just the national---still shouldnt go in there--but as they used to say about the great STAN BOWLES--if he could only pass a betting shop like he could pass a ball--lol
