With this type of match team news, a howling gale etc means diddly squat as far as the market is concerned. As with many matches the market flows in the direction the main players or manipulators want,90 out of 100 may think the market is wrong but if you cannot influence market direction then it means nothing as regards trading.
In addition certain teams are continually backed for no rhyme or reason at certain times during the season,Pompey,Everton,Crawley all fall within this bracket. When deciding whether to lay or back pre match i take into account current form but by no means is that the overiding factor. |

team news means diddly squat? an interesting concept.

nortons - shrewd

Very sound posting Mr Nortons, but if you don't consider today's team selections, you are missing some very vital clues as to how the match is going to be played and how the certain result is going to be achieved.
My last posting till after the game. Good luck all and hope you took the hint. |
|
By:
so if in the team news, hyperthetically speaking, Crawley selected a second team that wouldn't effect the market?
![]() |
|
By:
norton is not shrewd, to explain the move as people backing crawley at certain times for no rhyme or reason is garbage, oh its tuesday in a month with no vowel in it better pop out and stick £30k on crawley - first bit may have some truth but still a vague notion really -there's clearly a reason, I cant work it out but would be fascinated to know it

Team news is important in instances when one player is vital to a team such as Van Persie,Bale etc and of course if Crawley played a second team that would make a difference but one or two who are missing at this level means nothing .
Green Army if you have the stats regarding Crawley Everton and Pompey throughout the season comparing prices the day before tthe match and the final price at kick off your "garbage" comment will look stupid. If your still trying to fathom the move and reason for the market move on Crawley you will be a long time looking. |

By:
sorry norton but still drivel, you're saying nothing, Ive got stats coming out my ears, why specifically would crawley be backed at this time of the year, day before ko, whatever, give us some sort of empirical proof or it just sounds like you're explaining it with someone, somewhere with a feeling in their bones

As last Monday, Crawley having the possession and looking the more likely. On the counter attack Southend are nothing like as quick or direct as Shrewsbury were.
Southend backers must be worried |
|
By:
With theses sides so close to each other in the league,
it would be a seriously bad result for either side to lose, so a draw would be a more acceptable result than normal. I think that makes a stalemate a big runner. |
|
By:
im with you kenilworth, ive backed 0-0 and 1-1
