Pearce seems to be under the impression a draw equals a win. England U21's could not be more boring if they tried.

Pearce once thought a good way to help him get a result was to put his daughters teddy bear alongside him in the Man City dugout.  Alf Ramsey he ain't.

perhaps he should have opened a bank account in its name instead

btw, who was sitting next to Pearce at the Emirates on Sunday?  they were cut to after Arsenal made it 5-2, and as Pearce made some comment to him his body was lurching away from Pearce so violently he almost fell off his seat.  I'm not sure those were positive signals.  at a guess it looked like embarrassment over a decision that had already been made (assuming he was some FA bod)

pearce's record at major tournaments with the under 21's is awful.  he is a not a tournament manager.

UEFA Under-21 Championships:

2007 = Semi-Finalists;
2009 = Finalists.

Doesn't really matter who gets the job as England coach. Doesn't really matter what formation they play.

From a betting point of view, just keep laying them. You'll profit in the end.

Apparently, England won something in 1966 though. That was a long time ago of course.

While Pearce was manager of City, we played some of the worst football I have ever seen. My dad who alternates his season ticket with my brother, didn't see a goal all season.

That was Steve Wigley SF, his assistant. I'd imaging he was aftertiming his inclusion of Walcott ;-)
