unless meelan have improved from last year they'll be going out again even to this ropey arsenal side.
couldn't believe how poor they were against a patched up spurs side |

I think Milan are much the same, Arsenal i think better than Spurs were a year ago.
Remember this same tie 4 years ago . Milan were European Champions and Arsenal 5pts clear at the top of the league. Prices were as they are now. |

Milan only beaten once at home in the league, losing 0-1 to Inter.
In the group stages, they won their 2 home games against the sh1te teams and lost at home to Barca 2-3. Also worth noting that Milan haven't conceeded many at home -- only 5 games including the league and Champions League -- BUT, the league games were against teams who are now 3rd, 4th, 5th and Parma (but that was in a 4-1 win), and the Champions League game was obviously the Barca one. Arsenal have lost 6 out of 13 away games in the league, including losses against each of the top 3 sides (City, Utd and Spurs). Completing the other sides in the top 6 (other than themselves, obviously) they managed to get a win away at Chelsea (3-5) and drew 0-0 away at Newcastle. In the group stage, Arsenal managed one away win, one draw and a loss (but the loss was in a dead rubber in the final game). So, overall, Milan don't conceed or lose many at home, but they have let goals in against the better sides. Arsenal have struggled away, especially against anyone who is any good. I don't think Arsenal will win, but I think Milan might - so I will lay Arsenal. |

You can draw a line through most of arsenal's form this season, given they have been without most of their first choice defence for months.
Sagna has made a huge difference since he was back and if Gibbs plays, they will be back to full strength and I expect them to win. |

You are definitely Mesmermug. To the block list you go

Who is mesmermug, and why are you blocking me, what have I said that is inacurrate, let alone worthy of being blocked

don't think he is Mugmerised, dza. Anyway, not sure how this game will go. My guess is a draw. I might lay Milan.

Wrong on both counts IMO Milan much improved from the time they were beaten at Spurs and Arsenal much worse than that Spurs side. Only 2 of Arsenals current players would get a game for Milan (RVP and Ox) |

kanu, I have heard some stupid comments, but that is a gold medal contender for one of the worst!

I would favour Milan here - given Arsenals erratic away form this season. I'm gonna wait till tomorrow to place a bet becauses I think Arsenals odds willk shorten - Milan are definitely the value here.
Arsenal don't have enough strength of character ine their side to go to somewhere like Milan and win. |

Pato can win this game alone :)

God it pisses me off... when you talk like you know ****. Sorry but on what basis have you come up with the assumption that milan are much the same? Lot has changed since that spuds match... Milan current seria a champions, in the coppa semi finals... have a more composed team and a much better defence line... Their game plan has changed to great extent and the team is very fluent on the ball. Truth be told, if the weather and the pitch permits then Milan should win big or at least comfortably. |

hali I think pato is still out injured...

Lay milan at your peril.

Pato is out as far as I am aware.
I will admit that Arsenals form is shaky in all competitions not just CL but Milan are not a force. Also the comment knocking Swansea is ridiculous. They have shown themselves to be very worthy of a PL place and no side likes to go down there(and I'm a Cardiff fan!) Milan have a horrible CL record in last 19 games (W4 D9 L6) the wins have come against Auxerre (twice), Viktoria Plzen and BATE Borisov. Fancy I'll be laying Milan tomorrow @10/11. They've scored in 1/6 games v an English side and have been knocked out by them 3 years in a row |

Arsenal have no chance whatsoever of winning tonight.

i like under 2,5
i can see 0-0 1-0 0-1 |

Sky reporting says pato 'available'.
Can't see arsenal winning so I might lay them if they come in during the day. Might go for btts 'no' as well. |
|
By:
can see a draw tbh, cant see milan losing 1-1 2-2.
|
|
By:
Meelan 2-1 for me.
|
|
By:
I tentatively rate this match
Milan.... 6/5 Arsenal 27/10 Draw... 27/10 Goals.... 3/4 Put together maybe 1-1 or 2-1. |
|
By:
Arsenal will win the tie comfortably, but happy to watch tonight's game considering a draw is a good result for them.

I would have to agree with Stringer and say Milan have improved but the last few games they have had to start a very slow abd old midfield. Have not looked at team news but if it was the same I would not be to confident on Milan dominating the game in the middle, they may rely on a bit of magic from someone.
You never know with Arsenal, I think best left to inplay if you wanted a bet on this |
|
By:
The crucial ingredient is the strength of
the respective leagues. Where would Milan sit in the EPL ? Where would Arsenal sit in the Serie A ? If you can solve that, you are halfway there. |
|
By:
Tough game for an arsenal side who are really bad away from home. They would really have to step it up to get a draw or a win against Milan. On paper they can do that but current form suggests they will struggle . Backing arsenal is a big risk in my opinion .
|
|
By:
Milan's weakness has got to be the new comer Mesbah at left back... if antonini is injured then mesbah at left back will have problems against walcott and perhaps even chamberlain.
|
|
By:
Pato playing can only be a plus for Arsenal. The lad is totally over rated.
|
|
By:
pato down on confidence massively... I think he was suppose to be sold to PSG in jan but he decided to stay back.. hope he comes back strong today if he has recovered that is.
|
|
By:
Will be laying Milan, think Arsenal will get a draw here at least.
|

Sorry but on what basis have you come up with the assumption that milan are much the same?
---------------- league record before the Spurs game was P25 15-7-3 44-19 52pts current P23 14-5-4 45-20 47pts so really their form is no different, slightly worse this time if you are picky squad has a very familiar look to it too last years team: 32 C. Abbiati Substituted 13 A. Nesta 76 M. Yepes 61' 77 L. Antonini 33 Thiago Silva 20 I. Abate 8 G. Gattuso 76' 16 M. Flamini 55' 10 C. Seedorf Substituted 70 Robinho 11 Z. Ibrahimovic Coach: M. Allegri 1 M. Amelia Substituted for C. Abbiati 18' 7 Alexandre Pato Substituted for C. Seedorf 46' 15 S. Papastathopoulos 17 M. Oddo 18 M. Jankulovski 52 A. Merkel 66 N. Legrottaglie Arsenal are a different outfit for sure, but I think you'd be really hard pressed to argue that Milan have changed notably |
|
By:
Mate all that proves is that juve and udinese have gotten better, not that they have gotten slightly worse imo. I think Milan will do Arsenal tonight
|
|
By:
are you saying that Milan are in massively different form to last year, or that their squad is massively different? that's the only point I am considering. perhaps you misunderstood
|
|
By:
tough 1 2 call ? lay the draw n trade i think ?
