More likely they don't want to upset Spurs mid season.  The ever loyal Pearce has probably talked himself up for the Euros in an effort to make it look like there is an alternative and buy the FA some time.  (He's made it clear he doesn't want the job long term).

I would be amazed if Redknapp isn't in charge for France.  Even if he then decides to stay with Spurs long term (which I doubt but he suggested).

1.45 is still pretty good value imo.
