Either was he when he spread his filth that led to thousands of murders. Some very sad hypocrits reporting threads no worse than half the other sh1t on here. Why protect a horrible man like Paisley who shouted his mouth off at everyone is beyond me.

MERVAN CELIK insists his former club GAIS are due £240,000 from Rangers as the Swedes threaten to refer the matter to FIFA.

...

“GAIS offered me an extension and this can not be misinterpreted.”

The Swedes have threatened to take the matter to FIFA if Rangers don’t cough up.

Chairman Christer Wallin warned: “If Rangers make a big deal of this we will turn to FIFA. We have all our paperwork in order.”

This thread just sums up why Scottish football is dying.

The hatred between Celtic and Rangers is just causing people to switch of to it all.

Yeah thats the reason JamDav1982CrazyCrazy, nothing to do with Minty moonbeams spending a tenner for every fiver Celtic spend, nothing to do with not paying tax, nothing to do EBTS, nothing to do with moonbeams trying to outspend and blow away all competition in Scotland to rub his own Ego. There is one person to blame about the decline of Scottish football not the Celtic-rangers rivalry which is the only reason most people watch Scottish football.

JamDav1982

Johnny - those are all reasons why Rangers are going down the pan, but the attitudes on here are a big reason why people are turning away from both sides of the old firm.

The interest in both clubs is declining out with Glasgow, they have brought it on themselves.

what ever Jamdav yeah the hatred between Celtic and Rangers is a new thing, this coming from someone who thinks WBA have a bigger pull than Celtic, you dont seem to have a clue about Scottish football lad so what you think is of little relevance to me.

Johnny that hatred betwee Celtic and Rangers is nothing new but today people have access to watch teams from any league around the world so have more options away from the Old Firm.

I have never once claimed Wect Brom have a bigger pull than Celtic, they clearly dont. I used them as example of a team that went and toured the US to full houses. A fact that you thought made Celtic a 'global club'.

again we will have to agree to disagree lad,I know it Pains you but Celtic have been around for over a hundred years and will no doubt be around for 100 more with or without Rangers. Celtic dont need Rangers.

It doesnt pain me at all if Celtic are around for another hundred years, as they are not significant to any level of football that matters anymore.

There are 116 Official Celtic Supporters Clubs Worldwide not that this makes them Global of course ???
By:

Dont Rangers have the second most supporters clubs?

Most of the big clubs have their own membership that people sign up for and not lots of little ones.

. In the early days, the original big Glasgow derby for Celtic was actually Celtic v Queen’s Park (and not necessarily Rangers). Queen’s Park was not just the club supported by the establishment, it actually WAS the establishment club and owned by them (and still is to this day). Back then Queen’s Park was seen as representing the Scottish communities against the Irish communities (or “Scot v Celt” (sic!) as it was termed back then), and so was seen as a Protestant club having its origins in a Protestant YMCA. So for early days of any derby tension and rivalry this was the match to watch in Scotland.

The question then is why did this change? There are various reasons. The growth of Rangers taking on the mantle from Queen’s Park was primarily due to that Queen’s Park was too tightly controlled by the old conservative elite in Scotland, and effectively they promoted the Corinthian spirit idea of the amateur as the ideal, and eschewed any thought of professionalism. In effect, this myopic view led to the sharp downward spiral of what was then one of the world’s most successful clubs (Queen’s Park), and to this day Queen’s Park have remained an archaic amateur club. The sad result was that Rangers were able to take advantage of this and in time enforce their bigoted sectarian views as they became the new standard bearer for the establishment.

The standard of football I watch is irrelevant to my point that Celtic and Rangers are not 'global clubs' and are not important in any way on the world stage like some supporters believe them to be.

No season ticket at Nou Camp I am afraid although would be nice, dont need that to see the decline of the Old Firm. Both sides.

must be a big club aswell to get better average attendances than Parkhead too, its Barca isnt it?
By:
JamDav1982

Average attendances dont point to a global club, unless you consider Rangers to be global also.

a poor poor argument your trying to pick here JamDav when its reported that Celtic have an estimated following of 33million in the USA alone
By:
johnnyc123
When: 06 Feb 12 19:30
Blah Blah Blah JamDav, obviously the team you support is a smaller club with less fans and no where near the success of Celtic or rangers to a lesser extent and your a wee bit bitter. Why wont ya tell me who you support so. ya keep telling us how bad Celtic and Rangers are, how small clubs they are, so im just curious to know what club you support that you feel the need to come on here and tell us how bad Celtic and Rangers are?
By:
JamDav1982
When: 06 Feb 12 19:32
Haha most ridiculous thing I have ever heard on here - 'Celtic have 33 million supporters in the USA'.

There would not be one sports brand in the whole of US sport with that following.

The big clubs go and tour the USA and get paid millions to do it.

Celtic dont.

That tells you where the most interst is in and its not Celtic.
